Hi everyone, I will be looking to treat myself to a new 3d tv soon, aprox 40", can anyone (HC ?) advise on what I should go for or any good deals just now?

Don't know of any offers, but we have had a Samsung PS43D490 for about a year now. Very pleased with it, the normal picture is very good and even the sound isn't bad. It used active shutter glasses, looking forward to the opening ceremony for the olympics which is being broadcast in 3D (only part of the olympics I will be watching :rotfl::rotfl:)

Really pleased to see Happy back posting - just behave yourself though Happy, if we don't hear from you for a while we will know where you are :A

well DH is happy with his cake i've just made for his birthday tomorrow, boys are happy as i let them lick out the bowl after making buttercream but now very much still awake. washed my hands several times now and the black colour is starting to fade, don't have any lemon juice or nail varnish remover in the house as suggested solutions

I don't watch soaps either, 2 years ago I put my telly away in the cupboard so I had room for the Xmas tree, it stayed in the cupboard until the following September :)

Don't think I could quite live without mine for that long!
I usually only have it on during the day for background noise. Not very MSE but nevermind! It's handy for putting Cbeebies on for DD when I need to get stuff done. I know I'm a terrible mother! :p :A

I learned a lesson about 24 years ago, after doing my ds's first birthday cake. Disposable gloves are very useful when icing a cake! Other than that, time eventually solved the problem!

Thankfully my DD doesn't bother with it too much, she's more intrested in dancing along to the theme tunes to the the programmes, and once they're finished she loses intrest.
