Evening all, (as it's only 7pm here) or hello night crew:D Got a couple more photos for you, not taken by me but by DH.

Well, we brought the British Bank Holiday weather with us . It p**d down for 2 days, so heavily that the ground is sodden. The up side is that all the plants are growing apace. A piece of scrub land near us had been cleared of vegetation, and was bare when we arrived, and between last saturday and today has grown a 3 inch high covering of plants. It is amazing how quickly stuff grows here.
Spent today on 'our' beach, watching the pelicans diving for fish. We have regular morning bird visitors to our balcony, including grackels, lesser Antillian bullfinches, bananaquits, and a cheeky laughing gull, that sits on the rocks outside and calls for his breakfast, very loudly. He will catch pieces of bread in flight when you throw them.
Off to the market early tomorrow to get more fruit, then to another gorgeous beach for the morning.
Hope you are all well. Pleased to hear Mr & Mrs 3dogs had a good weekend.
Please let me know if photos are ok for size, or if I need to shrink them more.

I've been experimenting with this lately. I too didn't realise that the product had to be on two different discount structures in order for an amount to be deducted from your shopping than was greater or equal to what you paid

I can't remember what I bought exactly on my differing test runs but I can give you some numbers as an example. (I've just read my post back before submitting and I apologise that the following is perhaps a bit too wordy but I dont have time to make it any more succinct)

Let's say there were 2 items with original price of £2 each, marked at 2 for £3 (so a multibuy saving of £1). They were both whoopsied down to £1 each so I thought I could buy 2 for £2 and then the £1 multibuy would kick in giving me both items for £1. It didn't work because it wasn't a double discount offer that was programmed into the till. I had no grounds for complaint as I got the products at the price marked and cheaper than the multibuy promotion

Another time I bought 3 whoopsied veg products that were all labelled with red stickers saying "3 for 2 - cheapest item free". The SA noticed it didn't knock off the lowest item so she just cancelled it on the receipt. So I got my 3 whoopsies for the price of 2 whoopsies. Had I paid for all 3 (which I very nearly did!) I would have claimed DTD on the lowest price item that I shouldn't have paid for which would have given me 3 items for the price of 1

Another time I got 2 lots of fruit labelled with red stickers that said BOGOF. The BOGOF kicked in automatically at the till so I got 2 whoopsies for the price of 1 whoopsie that time. If I had paid for 2 then I would have claimed DTD and got them both free

Based on these experiences I now know to focus on whoopsied items with 2 different discount structures and also BOGOF/342 red labels. In the case of BOGOF/342 I would definitely seek DTD if I had to pay for all the items

I'm still waiting for the day that I am paid to take away any whoopsies!

That is what I was thinking.

When I checked at my T today the final reduction had the items reduced and someone had put stickers on top of 342 stickers so obviously they were being careful of something. Perhaps that SA was previously burned.

As far as the new Tesco magazine goes, I have mostly stopped bothering with the products in there as my T seems to never have the products for sale while the promotion is in the magazine. Somehow products seem magically to be on shelves after though.

Love the Green Throated Carib. Resembles a teacher I once had.

And good morning to Westvleteren :)

Good morning midwinter and to everyone on else that shows up in a few hours time :)

The moon is slowly descending in the south sky with a few sparkly stars. In a NE direction the beginnings of a sunrise - dusky pinks and purples and some dark scattered cloud. The air is still.

ETA just trundled halfway down the field there is a nip in the air and a crunch underfoot, the air is filled with birdsong and chattering and a distant owl.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    Good evening Elite.
Sorry if already been mentioned. In new Tesco Magazine May-June issue on page 102 there's a £1 off coupon for Welch's grape juice, valid until 31st July . Its currently £1.29 in T's, so only 29p for carton.

Thanks to my MSE friend for pointing it out to me today:wave:

-I tried this as I thought it was too good to pass up as well- but the computer wouldn't take the voucher for it- The fine print says any of the 'chilled' range... Those are on offer for £2, so still good if you like that juice! As a child we used to grow those grapes up the side of our house (in America) so I love it and have snapped up a few... :)

Beautiful pic Naebirrac OH. Bird looks like it is walking, moving through the water, get there is barely a ripple on the surface, hence the pristine reflection. Lovely stuff.
