That's madness - at our school only kids who can't swim have lessons and once can swim25m it stops and this is in year 4.

Surely there must be other kids who can swim too in reception. Can you not suggest that they segregate the swimmers and no swimmers and one week teach one lot and one lot teach the other lot.

Maybe it's an issue to discuss with head teacher or governors as its crazy

All the kids spend time in the pool....all the way up to year 6. But the real problem is going to come next year. As that is when they 'start' to teach the other kids to swim properly.

Isn't as if I didn't warn her reception teachers either.....cos I spoke to them last term.

Not sure exactly what to do about it right now. And that is a suggestion I may go for given a bit of time. It has only been 3 weeks so perhaps my girl just needs some more time to settle down.....or they get use to her in the pool.

    Morning everyone
Not a good start to today the main rd to manchester shut due to 'police incident'. Which meant no buses for DD to get to school, so I took her unfortunately I had to take a 10 mile diversion to avoid the rd closure:mad::mad: (Tweets I nearly ended up going via your area)
Off to drop my car at the body shop later which means I'll have to come home via T's car park so it would be rude not to go in and look:D
I hope MrLala had a lovely birthday.
Hope Fudge_Cake is ok sending you hugs.
Hugs to everyone else who's having a rough time.
    Have a lovely day everyone.
