Thanks hun, gonna take a t's spin in the morning to see about dtd and socks.

Havent been in a while so think its deserved with the week i have had! Have been running backwards and forwards to and from childrens ward with my little one this past few weeks because of her nephrotic syndrome and its starting to get ontop of us abit but we are getting through it. We are back to the ward on thursday so hopefully we will get some good news on friday that she doesnt need steroids to deal with this relapse. we thought she was never going to relapse as she has been in remission for 2 years but its one of these things that creep up and bite you on the rear end when your least expecting it!

Ps - Sorry about the rant about something you's might noot know about but typing it somewhere makes it easier to cope with! :)

Hope everyone is well and still hunting away in t's!!!! :)

3DOGS - Still always thinking of you and alan! Hope both of you are coping well and alan is feeling good!

No idea what nephrotic syndrome is but anything that involves the stress of having to see your little one in and out of hospital must be tough to deal with. :(

A little bargain from T's might help relieve the stress. A Giant choccy glitch is sure to help!

the vegetarins ones go through at a £10 though. so if your lucky enough to find some mixed up with the normal ones = DTD :j:j

I'm playing catch up so sorry if anyone else has said this

The veggie ones scanned at £4 for me today so no DTD for me this time :-(
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen

It works both ways... My DD was driving in Cardiff last October when she was on stop going through a roundabout when a cyclist hit the side of her car.. She was shook up, jumped out of car to see if he was ok, he just looked at her and walked away with his bike..
She went to the police station to report the incident and was told that it happens between 3-4 times a day in Cardiff and as long as there was no damage to her car to put it down to experience and take her documents into the nearest police station on Monday morning...!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

A couple of years ago, I was standing near the main bus station in Cardiff, watching the world go by. I saw a man crossing the road. He was talking on his mobile phone and taking no notice of the traffic. I heard an enormous thud and looked towards the noise. The man was just lying in the road. He had been hit by a bus. He died. It always worries me now when people use mobile phones near busy roads.

Hmm I just think I lot of people will not know that it's actually not a great offer etc.. I see people so often buy bigger packs when two smaller packs are a better deal vice versa. You could seriously have a full time job stopping people from blind shopping.

    well done :T:T
any clue why you didn't collect your clubcard points? just curious.

You're not curious, you just want them to post you the receipt thats all!!!! :rotfl:

    Hey everyone :)

Hope you've all been well. Too tired to skip back, whats new? Is Happy back? I've not even been on fb for days, its been all work, work, messy work :( Stuff being a builder, I wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Please someone tell me that I've not missed an amazing glitch this weekend because if I have, I may cry!

Now, Brabantia bins - small ones are scannin cheap, I got 2 different ones a couple of days ago but only just got round to posting. One goes in the cupboard and one is just a small silver one about 5L.

They're not the ones in the bathroom housey aisle, they were from the kitcheny aisle. The bathroom ones are still about £25 - these were £5 ish.

I can't be more exact as I'm in bed and I'm not getting out for love nor money!, but I can post details or a link tomo if I can hide from the builders for a bit

How are you all anyways?? :D

Oh I forgot to say, got some more socks today. Seems like some stores are happily restocking them, whilst others don't realise its clever stock control by their boss and are hoarding them in the warehouse!

Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder that means her body leaks protein through the filters in her kidneys. The disorder itself i find i can cope with but the effects of the steroids is something else completly! Last time she was on steroids she was taking 45mg a day (9 tablets and 3 medicines) but her daddy was on the same medication for his lungs and was only taking 20mg. The effects can be proper nasty and caused some serious weight gain for her. She nearly doubled in weight and before we started weaning her off them she was wearing clothes for a 8-9 year old (she was only 4) so the other kids making fun of her knocked her confidence alot. Then theres a weaning stage that comes with dt's! The shakes and crying looking for more drugs is terrible! I guess its worse when you have to watch them going through it than it is for some of the kids.

Saying all that, we are one of the fortunate families. Other families out there with kids with NS are heading down the road for dialasis and kidney transplants! :(

    ANOTHER RANT OVER! X

heres a link for one of the fb pages on nephrotic syndrome and it tells some stories of other parents and kids with ns.

PS - A choco glitch would make everyones day in this house! Saying that, any glitch at all would be nice lol.
