wish i had realised the tills don't stop the combined use of the HH coupons with normal till spits or would have done a few more of these runs ....oh well you live and learn, thanks for all the advice

ps went back to our other local T's on the way home on the off chance that they may have replenished stocks of socks...which they had-yipee, mum and sis got 5 packs each and i got a few of the john west sild stuff, didn't dare buy more than 2 of each flavour as worried we won't like them, we're not big fish eaters

It was beautiful, so uplifting, I too picked up the 'phone and voted (I don't normally) . What a precious moment it evoked in you as well - what a fantastic piece of music to choose. :T :A
.We also had Maria Callas singing Ave Maria ( which my Dad always said he wanted at his funeral) and at the end we had Andrea Bocelli singing Time to say Goodbye( the Italian version-Con Te Partiro). I have to say I did not cry that day much as I had looked after him for about 6 months before and cried with him every day. I did cry when I was ironing his shirt for him to wear in his coffin.
Now however lots of little things remind me of him and start me off. I too voted for them which I dont usually do
  • I've just been looking at T.com at their offers this week. I really think they are taking the pee these days.
Week before last Bassett's jelly babies were bogof at £1.48. The previous week they were half price at 74p. Last week they were back to "normal price" of £1.48.

Guess what they are this week? - £2.02 :eek:and "bogof":rotfl:

They must think we are stupid!

    Very cheeky!

But tbh how many people keep check of prices these days (besides us lot and money conscience consumers) ? They don't think we're stupid, they know that they can get away with it. As people will think it's a great offer...

Both beautiful pieces of music, you have excellent taste. I sing the Ave Maria in German because for me the lyrics work better like that.

I know what you mean about the little things setting you off, I lost my mum a couple of years ago, but in the end it's because it's the little everyday things that mean the most. Enjoy your memories, they are pure gold. :)

Watchdog are watching all the supermarkets as they pulled Asda up on it last week, I am sure it won't be long until they pull Tesco back on again!
BGT..... I too sat with tears streaming down my face watching those 2 sing, he really has got a world class voice but she sounded so much better tonight and held her own!
West is Best........love the pictures, very lucky indeed to witness this in your own garden.
I have yet to find a Tesco bargain, I will continue to hunt!

i don't think the general public are THAt stupid though, i reckon alot of people stock up on offers and so on. I think supermarkets hyperinflate prices JUST SO they can reduce back to the offer price -which is usually not a bargain but the reasonable price you would expect to normally pay for that product just to make us think the offer price is a bargain and incentivise us to buy it

ps FK what on earth are YOU doing with your head in bins.....are you thinking of joining smartie in counselling then??;)

perhaps we should all have group therapy, don't think any of us are any worse than each other?:rotfl:

I thought that young woman showed enormous strength of character to come back and show them what was what, well done to her. Respect. :T

Popped to see my freindly robins but only had a few mins as the light was fading and the car park was due to be locked. It was raining so they look a bit bedraggled today!!!!
