Until my son was born we were the same thinking all th doctors and hospitals are rubbish because whenever we had to go to hospital we have been made yo wait at least 6-7 hours,
However after my son born i have been told he had only half on hour to live maximum because he had born with major heart problems and we didnt know there was anything wrong until after he has born( i even had 3d scan which should tell if there was any problem, none in the family)
Until doctors figure out what was wrong with him for 3 hours he was getting worse because he was only getting 30-40 percent oxygen, we have been told that they got in touch with another hospital and that hospital send special ambulance for him which is an hour and half away from motorway. He has been taken to that hospital and he was in time , after a week he had his first operation and second one ( open heart surgery) when he was 16 months old. I honestly say it was 5star treatment, and i know that if it wasnt for nhs there were no way we could have saved him. I like to say biiiiig thank you to leeds general hospital childrens heart services.

Now there is a talk of closing this unit and childrens heart surgery fund doing everything to keep it open.if you come across please sign the petitions. I wont go in to detail because it is a long story

    What an uplifting story:T

I think we all either have had a bad experience with the health service or have heard someone elses story at least. Unfortunately my dad was admitted to hospital via emergency ambulance straight from the drs surgery and I will admit my heart sank when he was transferred to the royal oldham hospital as I had heard from various sources that it was disgracefully dirty and ridden with mrsa. However my dad was in the HDU for almost 2 weeks and hand on heart I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with any hospital-all the staff were superb and the cleanliness was 2nd to none so just goes to show you should never prejudge anything ever and everyone in the unit was routinely screened for mrsa and therewere no cases whilst my wonderful dad was in there so a big thumbs up for :Tthe NHS from me
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

anyone who still has the cosmetics vouchers for £2 off boots and tosco are selling nail polish for £4.99 each or 2 for£7 so with 2 vouchers 2 nail polishes are yours for £3 I tried in both stores and was successful in both hth:D

Wow that's good. Used mine yesterday in Superdrug - L'Oreal true match foundation is currently buy one get one half price.
    Price 9.99 each

    - 2 vouchers (4.00)
= 10.98 which is good as it is something I would normally buy. Hope that helps someone.

Pleased you are having a fab time (i'm not jealous!!! lol) and yes it's still raining here. P x

Thanks greenfinger, having a lovely time. I wondered if you'd be on here ;). Found any socks in our local? If you do could you pick me up some of the 9-12's please? I'll pay you when I get back, lol. Anything else you find would be gratefully received. No, I'm not missing T's, not at all, never, ever, ever.:rotfl:, but the groceries here are horrendously expensive:eek::eek::eek:. Good job I stocked up on tpo's, Thorntons, and still had some CDM bars left from before to bring out here. (Well hidden so the DS's couldn't find them!!) Most of the rest of the choccie stash is hidden in the loft, ready for our return, cos otherwise they would scoff it all.:D

I emailed T's on friday regarding my missing 700 clubcard points (there was a deal on before christmas when you spent £35 or more on clothes)
Apparently I didn't enter the code :o But they will be adding the points in the next 5 days :T

Do most people save their points till christmas or use them during the year ?
