    Morning folks.

Thanks durham05. You are obviously better at spotting bargains in my local than I am:rotfl: Was in there at 5:30 this morning for milk and bread but didn't have time to browse.

Very O/T question but does anyone know where I can buy one of those long handled, litter picking things that you see people using? No, it's not for wombling receipts but to try and rescue a wall clock that has fallen down into a cavity wall:o. Difficult to explain the situation but OH was using a club hammer and chisel to knock a hole through a wall(yes I,ve got her well trained:rotfl:) and the vibrations caused the clock to drop off the wall and down the cavity:eek:. It's just out of reach but I think I could "grabbit" with one of those.

It might also help me to remove some of the frightening amount rubble:mad: that I can see down in the cavity at around DPC level at a point that seems to coincide with a bit of rising damp that I've had to have treated.

    See you later:)
Had dh with me and coz he doesnt do supermarkets he likes a good look around.
got a grabber from boots in the mobility section may be worth trying T in that section failing that the do a 1 in the kids toy section,as my lo tries to gt me to buy one all the time. dont know how sturdy it wud be though.
u could return it after you have tried it n found it to b not what u wanted.!

Still catching up on the old thread and noticed this from dreamerbea

"Just spotted in the food and grocery thread that MrT 25% off wine is now online - does it sometimes move into the stores after it has been online?"

I think we must be due the instore equivalent and there are an awful lot of half-price wine offers ending 30/04/12, so my best guess would be 1 May or soon after. Would be brilliant if it were 1 May - potential ood sels and 25% off the higher price, the mind boggles at what the DTD calculations would be. Pretty sure this happened last time with some seriously good bargains netted by folk. One to watch out for ....
  • Been up early today to drop hubby off at airport. Visited a couple of tesco's early doors. Niht staff very lax and managed to raid the bin full of reciepts in SS (no shame me). Picked up one receipt to see that someone went through at 1am to get a preganancy tester kit - oh dear! Hope it was for happy reasons!
