I know thats the nature of ebay but I really thought that it was mine! I was watching the countdown of the last 10 seconds
and thought I had won it!
Sorry, I know this is not really anything to get angry or upset about - I just had to rant and then I will be fine!0 -

I know the feeling!!! I was bidding on something and was 5 secs and really wanted it and lost! Just gotta bid more!!!:)zippydooda wrote: »i never ever bid until the last 6 seconds. this gives any other bidder no time to think about raising their bid.
Thanks for the hugs locarr!
I waited until the last 30 seconds (thats good for me!) and bid £70 more than the current bid!! Oh well I will have to be braver and hold out a bit longer next time.
Right must go to bed now and I will re-start my obsessive hunt for another pushchair tomorrow
Night allErm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!!0 -

Can I join you please not new to mse but new to this thread. Saw it kept popping up on the board so was curious and had a quick read. I love glitches and was lucky enough to be around when it was easy to stock up on free health and beauty stuff and gain loads of cc points by using vouchers supplied by tescos. Happy days now I stck to whoopsies and anything else that comes along. By the way worth keeping an eye on the Disney DVDs some Bogof stickers are reappearing or did in two stores near me today.0

Thinking about you QPR, sending hugs xxx
Tricia, congrats on the flat, I hope you like it and get it. If you're on certain benefits you may be able to get a grant from the benefits office for the new furniture you will need, usually they'll give you enough for second hand and you have to provide the rest if you want new but you do have to list everything you need, even include stuff you have but needs replaced.
Have had a rubbish evening.
My cousin has recived a letter from her exes solicitor demanding contact and not at her address.
Have spent the night printing out
proof that my cousin's waste of an ex hasn't made any effort to see his son since the 13th of April eventhough he's been given every opportunity to see him.
Proof that he's taking drugs and possibly dealing.
Proof that he thinks he'll get full custody,
proof that on numerous occasions he's been contacted to see if he'll be down to see his son
Proof that he has in no way been stopped from seeing his son
Proof as to why the baby shouldn't be left with his Dad's family unsupervised (lots of abuse by paternal grandparents and their new partners towards their kids)
Proof that the baby's dad was trying to get other people to pretend to take the child out so that he could have the day with him without my cousins knowledge or consent.
Phoning health visitor to get the contact details of the social worker my cousin spoke to previously who informed her of the family history and warned her to never leave the baby in their care or he'd be taken away. They're both making statements supporting this.
The baby's dad wants unsupervised contact outside of the family home (basically in his mum's home) he also wants him for 4 days a week eventhough he hasn't seen him in weeks and has made no attempt to do so.
My cousin is basically afraid that the baby will be taken into care, she's afraid that his dad doesn't know how to even change a nappy let alone know exactly what to do if he's choking (he's got bad reflux), she's afraid that he'll grab the baby and not bring him back, she's afraid that his dad will get high and forget about him.
It's frustrating because everything was going great until the dad's mum got back in touch with him after throwing him out before the baby was born and since then both her and his sister have done everything they can to wreck what both him and my cousin had sorted out, yet saying that his sister won't let her own babys dad have contact with his child but is fighting for her brother to gain the contact he had before they got involved!!!!! If they'd just not got involved things would still be the same as in the begining when he was coming to see the baby 4 times a week and was learning how to look after him properly with the view of being able to take him for a few hours.
Sorry for the long rant but it makes me so angry, the baby is a georgous happy wee (think mini sumo, he's fantastic) thing, he doesn't need to have his mum upset as much as she's been today
Good night allSPC #329 £471/£500 banked
