  • Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP who posted about the golf t-shirt and balls set (sorry not sure who it was :o).

I spotted them a few days ago but the SEL said £6 and no scanner so didn't get one. I went back in today armed with my little notebook (newly purchased to assist me with my Mr t's outings instead of all my scrap bits of paper! :)). The barcode didn't match with what I had but I took a chance and yippee twas 4p!! I went through a manned till and the nice SA said to me in very hushed tones "ooohhh do you know this is 4p" to which I replied "oh err erm really ooohh thats good!" :D

The boxes were all a bit tatty so I chose one the best of a bad lot but think I'll just take it out the box anyway and it will be good present for my BIL.

I bought a pack of the 80's tea bags the ones without the merlin flash (is that right?) anyway they scanned full price so I must've got the wrong ones :(:(

Oh and I have now tasted both the peanut butter and billionaires Choka Bloks...Yummy!! :)
Erm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!! :)

Made me LOL so got FB'd!!

Had an awful day today. Couple of weeks ago I begun to smell something musty in my place. Thought it may have been down to drying some clothes indoors, freshened the place up and left, haven't been back for two weeks.

Got back in today, walked through the door and was met with the most overwhelming smell of mold on my passage!! Smells like weed! No way was this down to me.. I'm spotless! Removed everything out of the passage, ripped up the carpet and threw it in the bin..

I have NO IDEA where the smell is coming from. It is dreadful. I closed the doors and isolated it to this room. It is entirely bare with no carpet.. No sign of mildew or anything.. My apartment is barely two years old.. It's not old mold.. I checked the net and apparently mold could be growing in the walls as a result of a burst pipe or something similar.. Just my luck :(

No idea what I should do tomorrow. I might have to get someone out, bet it costs a small fortune..

Take your bath panel off and check behind it, they can hide a multitude of sins, ideally one should check it regularly (but who does). We had a load of damage done in our old house by a slow leak.

Edit: if you've been away for a while, you could try pouring bleachy water down the sink/ bath/ shower plughole etc. The water in the U bend can evaporate if they are not used for a while, and then you get all the horrible drainy smells coming up.

Hope you get it sorted ok, whatever it is. :A
    Hope is not a strategy.

Which dept did you find this in please? I was looking in the men's clothes bit last week but wasn't sure if that was right or not!

And how would you like it if someone had accidentally press your house number and registered it for a coupon?

I'd probably be a bit miffed ! But then, I expect a few people are a bit miffed about the tone of your post - it might be a valid comment but it comes over as unnecessarily terse.
