Can't be thankinhg that post I'm afraid. 60 or more people love having a dabble with the quiz and one or two whine and you close the quiz down?

    :(

No I agree - you are right FK :T
I've been to bed & can't sleep as this has made me angry now   .

Why should others & I miss out?

Apologies to Everyone for my rash emotional decision & the Quiz has been reopened
(Bit emotional at the moment as Ancient Cat isn't at all well :( )

Right then.....photography. Today wasn't brilliant so not much to share pics wise, but thought I'd share with you a tip I have learned through playing about with setting and things.

First pic is of an azalea today with the camera on standard auto mode. Frame looks pasty to me, lacks depth and colour....

    azalea1.jpg

Place the camera on sunset mode, and overexpose the shot by two thirds of a stop and we have heaps more colour and depth..........

    azalea2.jpg

Due to the way the sunset mode boosts certain colour ranges it does have a kind of warm glow to it that I'm not entirely happy with so popped it into a free photo program downloadable off tinternet (in this case irfanview) and I can take out some red with a 2 second drag of a slider. Much nicer than pic 1 and with tiny amounts of thought and experimentation.

    You're having a BLONDE MOMENT.

No offence intended to blondes, natural or bottled.

But they do make for some good jokes, like ...
    A BLONDE POLICE STOP

A blonde was speeding in a 35 mile per hour zone when a local police officer pulled her over and walked up to the car. The officer also happened to be a blonde and she asked for the blonde's driver's license. The driver searched frantically in her purse for a while and finally said to the blonde policewoman, "What does a driver's license look like?" Irritated, the blonde cop said, "You dummy, it's got your picture on it!" The blonde driver frantically searched her purse again and found a small, rectangular mirror down at the bottom. She held it up to her face and said, "Aha! This must be my driver's license" and handed it to the blonde policewoman. The blonde cop looked in the mirror, handed it back to the driver and said, "You're free to go. And, if I had known you were a police officer too, we could have avoided all of this."

Made me LOL so got FB'd!!

Had an awful day today. Couple of weeks ago I begun to smell something musty in my place. Thought it may have been down to drying some clothes indoors, freshened the place up and left, haven't been back for two weeks.

Got back in today, walked through the door and was met with the most overwhelming smell of mold on my passage!! Smells like weed! No way was this down to me.. I'm spotless! Removed everything out of the passage, ripped up the carpet and threw it in the bin..

I have NO IDEA where the smell is coming from. It is dreadful. I closed the doors and isolated it to this room. It is entirely bare with no carpet.. No sign of mildew or anything.. My apartment is barely two years old.. It's not old mold.. I checked the net and apparently mold could be growing in the walls as a result of a burst pipe or something similar.. Just my luck :(

No idea what I should do tomorrow. I might have to get someone out, bet it costs a small fortune..
