Minnie-the-Minx wrote: »I have been on the lookout for cheap tights.
This morning I got:
F&F 1 pair fashion tights - scarlet red - £2 reduced to £1 but scanning at 4p. AW-10, b/c 0279
F&F 1 pair fashion tights - purple - £2 reduced to £1 but scanning at 4p. AW-10, b/c 2209
I tried other colours - pewter, black, navy and brown - but they were still scanning at £2.
Has anyone had any luck with other styles or colours? I'm really going to stand out in the crowd in the winter with bright red or purple legs every day if I can't get hold of something a bit more 'normal'!

Warning by Jenny Joseph
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.Awaiting a new sig0 -
French_Knickers wrote: »Actually I've long believed that many glitches are not glitches at all but clever stock control/marketing by T's.
If they have a glut of cheese to get rid of then doing it with a 'glitch' is easier to control than if you price something dirt cheap. Theres enough savvy shoppers to pick up on it and clear the glut down but if it went public that glut could vanish in just a few hours and T's can't then simply hike the price back up the next day so they could then end up out of stock!
Altering a price 'glitch' back to its 'correct' price is easier to control and my guess is wont incur the wrath of trading standards either.
I agree, Tesco's are not as stupid as some may think....wasn't this the same cheese that was "glitching" at £1 a few weeks back..it gets people into the stores and they will buy other goods, some will even do their weekly shop on the back of it..."He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Just been to T after my hospital appt. The Cathedral city cheese went thru at £2.75, despite being £5 SEL. Also picked up 2 packs of new potatoes for 59p with 50 extra CC points added on (thanks OP).
I did scan the Grobag, pink, size 6 to 18month and it scanned at full price of £18ish instead of the £6ish so that may be store specific?Tiger

Does the 50 extra points on the potatoes work out to 50p of Clubcard points? so if you can get potatoes for 50p they are effectively free?0

Is it just tweets that is having problems with BT broadband? Ours keeps losing internet connection in the mornings. Took a couple of hours of unplugging the hub today before we eventually could connect.
Hope you get your connection back soon tweets.
We do leave our hub unplugged overnight, anyone know it that would that make a difference when we turn it on again in the morning?
My internet supplier is Talktalk, Sunday afternoon and night the connection was intermittent and speed was very slow. I called customer services and was told BT were working on the lines hence my problems. Connection and speed are both OK now.Born to glitch0 -
