hi everyone,
ive been having withdrawal symptoms. ive not been able to get on here for two days. its weird i typed in what i always type in and it did not appear saying this page not available. has anyone else had problems??]
Yes, I have! I don't manage to post very much atm but enjoy reading, and it was grim with no MSE. A couple of people on the "Tougher" thread have had problems too. My son's a techie and cleared out my "cookies" for me today, so i thought that had been the cause of the problem, but it sounds as it there was actually something wrong somewhere. Glad to be back :T
Happy Birthday jc2703, and belated best wishes to anyone whose birthdays i missed0 -
ivyleaf im glad its not just me. will get my husband to look at my cookies... no inuendo meant promise!!

Afternoon All
Happy Birthday JC :bdaycake: 40 today
JackieG good to see you :T
I am another one who has not been on the board lately, still nursing our poorly rabbit, bless him he really is fighting, we have to get fluid into him with a syringe every couple of hours and two sorts of medicine twice a day and he hates it but we have to do it because he has stopped drinking, but he is eating which is a good thing. Still don't know whether he will survive thisit has been four weeks now and a lot on vets bills but at least we know that we are doing everything we can.
One stupid old bat asked if we are we bothering and if we were going to eat him  I said "No was she going to eat her rat oops chihuahua?" Shut her up good and properBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Great answer BB!
JackieO - Glad your arm is getting better and of course Danny enjoyed Glasgow!
Cheapskate - Glad your luck is changing - hope it continues.
Afternoon All
Not a good day as predicted - there was a nursery visit to school today which I knew nothing about and apparently according to the boss there is nothing wrong with her communication! Anyway, at least the children cheered me up. Had a conversation with a very nice lady in HR who explained all my options. Need to buck up the courage now to let the Head know that I don't like being spoken to the way she spoke to me.
Took DDs car for a service today for her but don't have the bill, the garage we use is notorious for not issuing bills (we usually forget all about it and go in a couple of months later!).
DD made a lovely pork & noodle stir fry for tea which we have just eaten. Off to work at 7. Take care. XX0 -
Evening all.
Brightened up here during the day but ouch! the wind goes right through you.
Don't know what I did this morning, seemed to rush about a lot but can't see that anything was accomplished. This afternoon the rev and I were invited to tea with an elderly couple, he in his nineties and she a bit younger. It was her birthday and their wedding anniversary so I made a lemon cake to take for them as I rightly thought that they would have enough flowers. They both have a wicked sense of humour and are very modern in their outlook so it was a really pleasant afternoon.
A quick chicken stir-fry for tea and that's me done for the day. a bit of knitting this evening can justify me watching some rubbishy TV and early to bed.
Sorry about the migraine Wuvvies- that's so miserable.
JackieG - nice to hear from you again.

Camelot, it may be a good idea to have that conversation in front of a willing witness...then she can't deny it happened and make you out to be telling porkies or exaggerating things.0 -
Evening all!
Thanks for the support and hugs. Had a sleepless night last night, largely due to feeling so frustrated and angry, and a hellish busy day at work to divert me. Popped in to mums on the way home, she asked what had happened, and when I told her she said quite right, but whats his friend's mum thinking!
Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight, as tomorrow will be even busier, then on Thursday I will think about trying to speak to him.
When I told DD what had went on she said he's a doofus, when's he going to grow up.....from the mouths of babes!!!!!!!!RIP Iain

Evening all. Hectic day today,
The builders didn't turn up to do the new doors/windows yesterday, but they came first thing this morning, so we've had all that mess. It's not quite finished, but he said he'll be back tomorrow to neaten up.
DD1 had a school E.P.R (Ethics, Philosophy and Religion) trip today, They went to a Catherdral, a Mosque and a Hindu Temple. She enjoyed it, said it was very interesting seeing how other faiths worship. Then she had a careers convention at school this evening, she's only year 8, but the school like them to go and have a look to see if it helps them choose their GCSE options. DD1 has already decided she wants to be an archaeologist, strangely there weren't any of those there tonight.;) DD2(10) didn't come with us, but she already knows what she wants to do, she's going to become a marine biologist and work with sea lions apparently.
I've been in a lot of pain today, had to leave hubby to watch/brew up for the workmen, I went back to bed for awhile, but I'm still feeling mentally stronger, which is good.
We used up the last of Sunday's SC chicken for lunch, I made a broth from the stock, added some chilli, garlic and ginger and shredded the chicken, it made a nice, spicy, Chinese style soup.
Gosh I've wittered on a bit there, sorry:o I'll say goodnight now, hugs all round((((()))))
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to say, I finished knitting my very first pair of socks this morning, I've worn them all day and they're really comfy+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++
