Morning Everyone
Arrived about 6pm last night, very good journey, hardly any traffic, who would have thought Northern Spain had it as a bank (or saints day) holiday while the UK worked!! Think we have got something wrong somewhere.
Jools Big hugs to you, but you were right, rules have to be obey and parents respected. He will soon find out that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I would ensure he knows he always has a home with you, but within the boundaries, and that he treats you both with respect. We must have been lucky as we had no problems with out DS, then again after going to uni, he has only been home for holidays, and now works 200 miles away, and I never ventured into his last uni shared house;)
Had my first coffee while letting DH have an extra hour, will make another one for us both now, and wake him up as we are out of the house in 3/4 of an hour to play Petanca, and yes the sun is out.
:bdaycake: yes I have the same problem as Redruby, but I do know it is the lady from Northern Ireland, and she is having her 40th!!
Take care all, and ((Hugs)) as needed. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
The lovely lady celebrating her 40th today is JC(followed by some numbers but can't remember what they are :rotfl:) have a great day if you're reading this
DG yes but if we had another day off just think about the cost to the economy <rollseyes>I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all,
Had a busy day yesterday as we ended up having DGD all afternoon. As DH and DS2 finished a big job on Friday,DS decided on a day off,and we went to town to pick up a high chair and a walker for her. When her Mum found out he was off she asked if he wanted her for the afternoon :jI think she really needed a bit of a break, she's looking tired,as DGD is teething. So we picked her up on the way back home and had a nice afternoon.
I had to do a quick tea after she went so did corned beef hash.
Not sure what we're having tonight, will go and look through the freezer, need some bread too.I need to make a card for my ex SIL as she is going in having another op today.
Hugs to anyone in need, and Happy 40th Birthday JC:bdaycake:

Morning chums ,brr blooming cold and damp here I had to put the CH on this morning it was so chilly:mad:.Son-in-law working from home today so I have the day off from childminding duties .Weird, I am looking for things to do
:) I must pop round to the Drs later to get a replacement script for my anti-bios I always have to keep them indoors in case of a flare up in my arm .Its gone right back almost to normal colour now and the tempreture has dropped on it at least.Lyphodema is the most peculiar thing to get as I can go months and nothing then for no apparent reason it flares up.Still apart from that and my dodgy ticker and osteo-arthritis I am in the peak of health :)There's hundred worse off that's for sure and I do try to keep positive.:j
My DGD Holly is doing her first 'presentation' at Uni this morning, and she has worked so hard on all her bits, so I have my fingers crossed for her as well.
DGS Danny is back from his travels to Glasgow and Newcastle .He loved Glasgow and said it was a terrific town to visit .Newcastle he liked, but didn't get as much time there to explore the night life.
Well time I went and got the coffee pot on have a good day everyone and try to stay dry
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -

Morning All,
Birthday blessings to all who's special day it is and prayers for the rest of you!
LOTS of OS work went on the JWAH h/hold last night. I got home from work, set a timer for 20 mins and made up the spare bed, hoovered all upstairs, bicarbed our bedroom floor (then hoovered it), mopped bathroom floor, put washing away, put a load in the WM, made tea and finally mopped the kitchen floor & bleached the sink! WTH??? Dont know what got into me and obv had to reset the timer for more 20 min bursts - i'm not that quick!!!! Felt especially smug with myself as i came downstairs to a very tidy house this morning. honestly, I dont know how 2 people and 2 cats can make such a mess in such a short space of time!
Had a porrly IBS related tummy last night after all that so went to bed early (sorry if TMI), had LO for lunch today so hope I dont have the same issues as last night - not at work, that would be my worst nightmare
Today after work I will be going to my bro's house to meet his GF who is giving us some pork from one of their pigs  I try not to see them in the field prior to all this as I would never eat them! A couple of nice joints, belly draft, chops as thick as a house brick and some sausages. Yummmmmyyyy.
I will also be aiming to cook something with mince - prob just mince, onions & pots for a nice change for tea.
Tonight will be ironing whilst listening to an audio book and then trying to entertain the cats till OH gets back from ju-jitszu.
Have a lovely avo people!
Lou xBut I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!
Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon everyone
Not been for a while, manic household here, but it's finally calming down, woohoo! :j DS1 moved out yesterday, to a shared rented property, where he can have his DS at weekends - so much stress lifted now, I can't tell you - I feel a new person!
Also, I had a lovely email from a place I went to for a job interview last year - offering me a job out of the blue! Going to see them tomorrow to thrash out details.
I think Him upstairs has realised that we've had such a bad time recently that we're due a little change in fortune - thanks!
Know I've missed loads of news, will try to catch up the last couple of days, but in the meantime lots of love and hugs whether you're sad, poorly, depressed, ecstatic, pregnant.... xxoo
