in Water bills
This is probably a question you don't see a lot, however I'm in a student house with 8 people and the water bill is in my name.
We have just had a bill from October 2011 to April 2012 for £170.
This seems too cheap to me and I want to make sure it's correct so I'm not landed with a huge bill when we leave in July (as people will have left and it'll be hard to get everyone to pay up).
What do you think? £170 water bill for 6ish months of water for a house with 8 people in.
The letter does state they have read the meter 3 times within the 6 months, the last being this month.
I'm just waiting for the sewage bill to see if that's much higher!

You don't say where you live in UK - that affects prices.
Bill didn't include sewerage! - can be more than water supply. Sometimes different company(to water supply) provide sewerage facility.
Why would a meter be read 3 times in 6 months??? Have you checked readings on bill yourself?
8 people with average usage would have used approx 200 to 240 cubic metres in 6 months.0
