How variable are variable rate ISAs?

Options
Hi. I'm wanting to transfer my ISA but the most suitable deals all say x.x% (variable). How variable is variable. 0 is 2 days perhaps? How much notice would the ISA provider need to give me before changing the rate? Wisdom of anyone in the know please?:T

    Variable means variable!
No notice required unless the drop is greater than about 0.5%.
You need to keep your own eyes open for any changes. Check here, check the website. check the branch.
Rely only on yourself and be ready to move if necessary.

Could also choose an account that pays monthly interest and monitor the interest paid. (Doesn't work so well if the balance fluctuates wildly, of course.)

Some say they will give (say) 60 days notice of a change. Some will tell you they have done it. Some leave you to find out.
