When is your wife going back fulltime?

Are you claiming WTC at the moment?

Does your wife receive SMP at the moment?

I think people are having difficulty helping you because it is unclear about what is actually the situation (I know I am!)

OK - let's try and deal with this in two separate parts.

As I understand it you want to know what you may be entitled to when you finish your current job and are looking for work?

    So,

From July 1st what will the situation be?

    Any savings? (including redundancy)

    You seeking work?

Your wife? Back to work? How many hours? Salary? Child care costs?

Own home? Renting? (How much?) Council Tax? £1100 per year

If you could press 'quote' and answer these questions we might be able to help! It's all very complicated I'm afraid.

Then we can try to do the second part when you go back to work.

    Hi

Redundacy will be around £800 and we have no other savings.

I will be seeking work and my wife is going back full time. She is currently on full pay through an agreement with her boss her salary is £22,500 40 hours a week. When I find work the baby will be going into childcare for 3 days £120 a week. Council Tax is £1100 a year and we own our own home. Mortgaged.

We have 2 kids the other is 13.

I may have a job which is going to be starting at the end of August but this is far from guaranteed which would be part time 3 days £8112 a year

    Cheers for your reply

why dont you just stay at home and save £6000 a year on childcare costs and £3000 on petrol back and to to work !claim child tax credits etc prob work out at £10,000 inc child benifit , family income of £33,000
you have to do whats best for you etc
looking at this you will have to earn £20,000 to get £10,000
im not one to encourage such ways but you have to be sensible about it and have no concious im afraid

I'd prefer to be out working to be honest I'm not one for sitting about the house.

I know what you are saying about doing the best for the family though.

If someone could work out what we would get for the figures I gave It would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply
