I guess this has been kicked around a few times. I have been with Tiscali for ages now and pay £17.99 for unlimited BB. They have not been reliable recently and I want a change. I would like.
Reliable service
competitive price
package deals such as free telephone calls etc if cposs
I cannot get the sky 3 in 1 deal as I am unable to get their BB unless I pay the full rate.
Anyone gor any thoughts on this or is there a thread somewhere?

I currently use PlusNet. It's not as good or competitive as it once was. Still better than Pipex. However, services go down far too often these days even if its not for very long.
Personally, I try not to go for broadband from Sky. But then my reason is that I ring in every 3/6/9 months to cancel my Sky subscription to get offered 3/6/9 months half price.

The Talk Talk 3 package seems good value at GBP20pcm incl phone line rental and 40GB d/l limit. I know they've had bad press, but that was mainly due to popular demand, another downside is an 18month contract or an exit fee if you want to leave early.0

Eclipse are quite good.
They went through a bad patch mid last year (during a takeover) but have recovered and been fine since. Speeds are consistent (I usually get around 3-4Mbps, and my parents 4-5Mbps) and I've yet to experience any downtime.
You can get the Evolution package for £15 a month. Unlimited downloads (within reason) and it's on a per month basis."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
