Hi,
Hoping someone can help me here, I am sorry for my very basic description as I am very un-technical!
I have a desk top pc and when I am browsing things and using the mouse, the screen keep going blank like when it has been unactive for a while and I keep having to click the mouse or press a letter on the keyboard to get the screen back properly.
It is doing it every few seconds & is driving me nuts!! What is wrong with it? Is it the pc or the mouse?? Help please

Depends on whether it's a screensaver kicking in or the monitor going to sleep.
Click Start. Type Screen into the search box. Click Turn Screen Saver Of or Off see what the setting in "Wait" is. From this page you can also click Change Power Settings to see when the monitor is set to turn off.How do I add a signature?0 -

Thanks for your reply. What part of the computer am I searching for screen though? I was concerned that rather than the settings it was something had broken as it has only been doing it the last 2/3 days?0 -
Sorry, I presumed you're using Windows 7. When you click on Start you'll see a search box. Type "screen" in there and as you type, links will appear in the area above the search box. One of those is Turn Screen Saver On or OffHow do I add a signature?0

When I click search, I have to choose whether to search through pictures, documents, files, etc. If I choose files it brings up millions and if I choose Computer it only gives me the option to search for people or a computer on my network? - Sorry, I told you I was VERY un-technical!!0

OK Let's find out the version you're using
Click on Start. Then click the right mouse button on Computer, followed by the left button on Properties. In the top section of the window that opens it will show which Edition of Windows you have. How do I add a signature?0 -
I suggest that the OP is using XP?
In which case just right click anywhere on the desktop then on the pop-up panel click on properties, then on the screen saver tab.
On the wait box you can change it to whatever you want from none to 30 mins etc0 -
