No where near as popular as Paddys day.

Think it's disgraceful to be honest. The English celebrate an Irish saint but not an English saint.

Isit because one is just an excuse for a jolly up?

Nowhere near as COMMERCIAL as St Patrick's day, I think you meant to type.
One has the massive marketing push of a popular stout behind it, the other doesn't.

We have this every year, everything you can think of is automaticallt celebrated by Martin, but St George's Day only goes on after complaints.

Popped in at l/t and he's still not proud to be English. What's the world coming to??!

I personally have no problem with it, as long as every other "notable" day is treated with equal indifference.

Martin's picture is not dressed up but the banner is, looks like the clever clogs at MSE towers are off work today.
  • You have to realise in this country, we have to celebate all races and cultures except our own.

The fact that we had the largest Empire in world history, bringing civilisation and democracy to all corners of the planet, is, apparently a thing to be ashamed of?

Well, I for one am a proud Englishman living in what was, until relatively recently, the greatest and most powerful Nation on the planet.

It's really bad, that's taken about 30 seconds to put together.

If there hadn't have been a few people moaning about it I bet it would never have been put up.
