Not been on to post since i joined up here so here's my input! So far this month I've made £15.45. Thats an hour on second job and one e*ay sale. Not a great start but a start. I've also had a big sort out through the house and my computer room is now full of stuff waiting to be listed on e*ay.
So that's it for me I'm afraid. Hoping to get a few things listed over the next couple of nights and then get everything else on over the weekend. If I can get myself motivated! Really need a kick up the backside and could really do with the money otherwise I'll have nothing to spend when I go on holiday in August and thats not a funny thought!
Don't be disheartened - like you say, it is a start, and it's got you off the starting block which is often the biggest obstacle
My advice would be to get photos taken of the things you want to list, so that once you are at the computer you can just plough through the listing process.
Is there anything you could try listing on a local Facebook selling site? We were discussing in the last few days using those groups vs Ebay etc, and both have their pros and cons for different types of items. But it can be extremely motivating to sell something on Facebook as the process can be quicker, much simpler for you as people collect. Getting rid of a few bits via that route gave me the kick up the back side I've been missing for the last couple of months to do Ebay listings as wellHalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Thanks PLMBL and Katie
(Good to hear your granddaughter is OK! :j)
Just nipping in today as not feeling too well, had a lovely surprise in the post that cheered me up a little thoughI got in a bit of debt with my rent (council) a couple of years ago when I lost my job, due to a mix up with housing benefit. I've been paying it back ever since, just a few pounds extra on top of my rent. I do it by standing order so never really knew what was happening with it (checking the balance was on my mile long to-do list, lol
). Anyway, today I received a cheque for £207.24 and a note to let me know that it was for overpayments on my standing order
Obviously this is an ongoing expense, so I'm quite surprised they refunded it rather than just leaving it as a credit on my account. I'm not complaining though!
I know that it isn't technically making money, but it is a lovely surprise that I never expected, so I'm adding it!

sorry not been around lately. Work has changed completely for me. I now work 4 days a week, which has completely thrown my routine out of the window! No clean clothes
and have other stuff going on, so spending a lot of time sorting it.
has anyone thought about NCT sales?
http://www.nct.org.uk/branches/events/nearly-new-sales
you have to check with your local NCT. Mine takes 30% of all sales for their fundraising and you get 70% of the sales, and pay £5 registration fee.
to everyone else, don't lose heart! It may seem like you are not making any money, getting anywhere, but if you know it you will be
so don't give up, keep posting and keep searching for ideas on how to make money, particularly the UP your Income Board.0 -
