Monkeynut how much are you selling your baby stuff on the bay of e for? We have got loads and was just planning on doing a boot sale but could use the space and the money now tbh

What I've been doing at the moment is picking out particularly nice bits, and little outfits (some of which were originally outfits that came together, some are just bits that I think look nice together and when people see a photo of it as an outfit, like dungarees with the vest - I take the photo on one of the big rectangle hangers, with the vest inside the dungarees so it looks complete together. Obviously if it's not meant to originally be an outfit, I say this in the listing. I find that any tops with slogans on tend to go well. So I've picked these out too to sell individually, or sometimes a couple together, or one with a more plain one that probably wouldn't sell on its own.
And I usually try the slogany type tops for £2 and quite often get that or a bit more, which for an individual item I'm really happy with, as I'd probably only get 20p, 50p if I'm lucky, at a bootfair!

If it's the space you're after and want it sooner rather than later, then obviously a bootfair will be better for shifting things quantity wise. I'm planning on a bootfair / table sale for the rest once I've picked out and tried the bits I think are Ebay worthy.

Thanks monkeynut for the advice. There were some lovely dresses in DD's old stuff that I thought was worth more than the pennies I would get at a boot fair. Thank you, you've inspired me. Must get going on my listings, just have to find time now.

I've found listing baby clothes doesn't take as long as I think it will! I always iron things for the photos as I think it makes clothes much more sellable, and makes things look like they are more well cared for than if they look scrumpled!! Baby clothes don't take too long to iron as they're little, so I try and do it at a time I don't really notice (not that there' much of that as time is always short here!), but like if I'm waiting for the oven to preheat, or the steriliser to finish or something, then take the photos there and then on the kitchen floor - otherwise they will end up thrown around and scrunched up again pretty quick :o
Then I have a listing that I copy and paste, and just change the size, brand, and quick sentence about the condition. Generally all the description is in the photo. I like that there's no faffing around trying to figure out which category fits best, and working out postage is much simpler now there are less weight categories (I tend to price as packet unless I'm 100% sure it won't be too chunky for large letter with packaging) so actual postage is £2.20, and I just add a bit :)

Spent ages at the hospital today, turns out DS2 definitely needs the surgery, but they need to monitor him for a couple of months to determine exactly what needs doing.

Sorry to hear that lolly Xx

Glad to hear everyone is ok.
And welldone on the free Bingo :j

Selling on Ebay is a doddle once you get the hang of it. It can get tedious sometimes and a bit of a chore, but goodness knows where we would be without it. I wish there was a button to click to see how many items I've sold and a total of how much, in the whole time I've been selling. A few thousand altogether I know that much. And the first few things you sell, and probably everything you sell if you just use it for the odd bit here and there, is really exciting :o:rotfl:

That's so sweet of you to see if anyone here has anything you could buy :A I have 2 boys so nothing that would be good for your daughter, but I'm sure plenty of others have.

I'm really pleased that 1 of the big snowsuits, and a chunky baby sleeping bag sold last night, as well as a couple of tops, but the bigger bits going gives me 1 less carrier bag :j:j I had to cancel the transaction for the thing i couldn't find :( But will add the rest once I've posted and calculated profit.

Starnac - just to motivate you a bit more - 1 of the tops that sold went for £3.95, just for a little baby top. If I'd have said that to someone at a bootfair I'm sure they would have put it straight down and walked away.

Just an incy £1.75 to add today after checking online banking, from a postal audit doo-dah.

Not been on to post since i joined up here so here's my input! So far this month I've made £15.45. Thats an hour on second job and one e*ay sale. Not a great start but a start. I've also had a big sort out through the house and my computer room is now full of stuff waiting to be listed on e*ay.

So that's it for me I'm afraid. Hoping to get a few things listed over the next couple of nights and then get everything else on over the weekend. If I can get myself motivated! Really need a kick up the backside and could really do with the money otherwise I'll have nothing to spend when I go on holiday in August and thats not a funny thought!
