    Hi everyone.

Phew! That's all I can say about the weekend. Best bit was last nights concert with Aled Jones in a cold marquee that was threatening to take off in the wind at any moment. About 700 people crammed in and had a whale of a time. Finally staggered in at 11.30pm.

Very tired today but went shopping with DS and his OH - they were looking for a sofa, fridge-freezer, a new bed for DGS and a new dog bed for Millie- (sort of Dalmation with touches of about 50 other varieties).

Now home, limping and exhausted. I treated us all to lunch in a pub so no cooking tonight.

Uolypool: you do a goodish bit of sorting out other people's troubles. Don't neglect yourself, will you.

JOOLS: My heart goes out to you. Been there, done that and have the grey hairs to prove it. It does get better even if you can't believe that at the minute. I would have given my DS1 away with a bowl of goldfish when he was that age. Let's just say that the police were on Christian name terms with me. Try to look after youself.

Hugs Jools it must be so hard. Good thing no one tells you it can be like this or none of us would have had kids.Hope the situation eases soon.

Monnagran, I guess its what I do best.
I managed to persuade her to try and grab a couple of hours whilst here. She didnt want to go to bed as she said she would feel lonely on her own so she stretched out on the recliner and finally fell asleep, for 3 hours in the end. She only woke when a parcel man knocked on the door. I phoned her kids and they all came here for tea ,one less thing for her to worry about today. I'm just glad that she felt that she could turn to me. Perhaps I should look into doing some councelling training or something. Mind you I dont think I am the most compassionate person in world so it must be the tea and cake.

Well, DS has just been in, packed a bag, left his keys and gone. Apparently his friend's mum said he can stay there till he gets a job:eek: and he said he wont be going to college as there's no point if he isn't at home, didn't do what he was asked cos he couldnt be bothered, and him going is what I wanted anyway.
Good luck to his friend's mum, keeping him on fresh air!
What's happened to teenagers these days? If we had gone on like this my mum would have kneecapped us!!!!!!

Uolypool: I don't think you need any counselling courses, you obviously have the gift. You seem to know instinctively what people need and just set about providing it. But as I said, look after yourself because you can't keep on giving out without having some nurturing yourself, and if no-one is going to do that you must love yourself.
Hope you know what I mean.

jools: I have seen this happen so often. Teenager pushes the boundaries until they break and then moves out to inflict themselves on some other unsuspecting family. Then they have to mend their ways because otherwise their hosts will get fed up with them and turn them out. Or, they find that other people have similar or harsher rules than their parents and they were better off at home.
At which point they have to get themselves back without losing face.
    I could write the script!
In the meantime enjoy a bit of peace and quiet and spoil yourself a bit.
Teenagers have to learn that mothers are people too.

    Evening everyone

thought it was going to be lovely today after seeing the sun this morning then te heavens opened this afternoon(very disappointed).
Been at work all day, then came home and did an hours hw with ds2 following a lot of moaning and groaning.

os today - sorted out some washing that had dried and nothing else, my house looks a bit of a tip and definately needs dusting but it can wait till another day.

Jools ((Hugs)) It will get easier in time, he will realise what he is missing and come home I'm sure. Enjoy your peace and try not to worry too much(very difficult I know).
Uolypool - Glad your friend managed some rest ((hugs to you all).

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care. i'm off to have my tipple of a measure of baileys in hot milk - lovely.
