Penny Pincher - is the celery soup a starter or do you cook your chops in it or use it as a sauce? I've got celery I could do with using up.

    Hi

Its a Campbells celery soup that I cook the chops in and is delish. Serves as a creamy gravy too over the mash...yummy!

Ive never used celery in a meal except once in a stew, but didnt like it. I normally only eat in a salad or with a dip.

Sounds really good. I might try and make as celery soup kind of thing - will probably cook it and blitz it up and see what happens.

Had celery in my veg box this week. The rabbit eats the leaves and my boys aged 2 and nearly 5 will eat it as that's what the Wonder Pets eat  .

Hi all, well I admit I failed miserably last wk but then I did have my car crashed into so been busy dealing with that and another day had to call a locksmith out as front door jammed and couldn't get in! So I think I have good excuses there but going to try again this week -

Today - Roast chicken, sprouts, carrots, roasties, yorkshires, stuffing, gravy.

Monday - cheese and beans on toast (helping at Rainbows so no time to cook.)

Tuesday - H.m quiche, potato wedges, sweetcorn.

Wednesday - Chicken-kiev (shop brought), chips, peas (no time again as girls at ballet/tap).

Thursday - sausage casserole and mashed potatoes.

Friday - chicken korma, rice, poppadums.

    :D

How do you make your home made fish cakes? Tried this a couple of times and have ended up with a greasy mess! Any tips?
