Moneysavingexpert site makes my computer freeze!

Having been a daily visiter to this site for as many years as I can remember, for the last or month or so every time I come to the home page my computer freezes for up to one minute. Sometimes the home page loads immediate buy when I click on the Forum it freezes for about a minute. Once I have visited once, and I do not shutdown my computer it is fine. But the next day it happens again. No other sites I visit are affected. I am on Google Chrome. I just am really intrigued as why this might happen.

I've found since I blocked all cookies in my privacy settings for this site, and added it to the restricted sites after noticing I was on the Skimlinks list, speed has gone back to normal.

In one of the many threads about this issue, somebody suggested we upgrade our computers. Given that these computers were (and very likely still are) perfectly adequate before whatever changed, I didn't see it as a suitable response from a member of a money saving forum!
  • Thank you. I can see it is not just me then. Hope they get to the bottom of it soon.

People who are using IE, Firefox and, IIRC, Opera, are also reporting problems.

Switch it off, count to 10 and switch it back on again, guys! :)

This is happening to me at the moment.

Everytime I try to view mse the system freezes, only cutting and rebooting frees it.

Tried to view a solution but all return to an mselink that again fuses.

Is there a definative answer, appreciated if I can access it.

Edited to say after 3 days of issues I have now "landed" on the site twice in the last hour, have done a full 12 hr scan of the system today however.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
