    Afternoon everyone,

Haven't really had time to fly or post this week but DH has been off work most of the week so he has kept on top of things for me (it's amazing how easy it is when it's all clear to start with).

I've still been shredding everyday though and I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel with the 'pile' - however, I have to confess to there being bags of paperwork in the loft that we've just stuffed up there when people have been coming to stay etc - so my plan for those are, once the'pile' downstairs is gone, bring one bag down at a time and shred 10 things everyday until it's all gone - at least we're not adding to it anymore, everything that we don't need that comes through the door is shredded on top of the 10 things:o

I haven't even attempted to catch up on the thread so I hope everyone is well - if not have a hug from me:)

Dailies have been done and wm & dw just finished, so I'm going to sort them - if I can get myself moving after having an enormous bowl of hm soup.

Then it's off to the gym in an hour or so for an hour or so, not that I'm looking forward to that - actually did netball training with DD on Thursday night and my legs still hurt now - why did I think it would be a good idea when I haven't played netball for about 25 yrs:rotfl:

    Take care

  • Im doing 15 minute stints as a kind of motivation otherwise I get sidetracked.
    In 15 mins I have
    taken the rubbish out
    unloaded the dishwasher
    loaded the dishwasher
    unloaded dryer and folded clothes
    emptied wm
    put another load in wm
washed last nights mashed potato pan (cant put it in dishwasher as everything would come out covered in mash lol)

I will now start another 15 mins

I'm now having a very  day. Looks like everything is going to go wrong now.

    ***RANT ALERT***
Collected my prescription from the chemist and the oiks at the surgery have put the wrong bread on my script so I now have 8 loaves that have the taste and texture of a house brick rather than the nice fresh stuff Also by restricting the amount of things that I can now 'order' it seems that they are discriminating against females as they can order less than the same age male, oh and while I think about it surely there is age discrimination as well because they cut back again once you get to a certain age. Not only that because you can only order a certain amount of each item per month it means that the one pack of crackers that I can order becomes an item on my script therefore costing a single prescription charge of £7.65, packs of pasta then become £3.82 etc and so apart from bread it looks like they are forcing people to buy alternatives from the supermarket shelves. Cake mix and digestive biscuits are no longer available at all. And I know it all becomes cheaper if you buy a prepayment certificate but thats another story as Boots managed to muck that up and I lost a month on mine and its just run out so I am not covered for a new prescription when they rewrite the order for the bread. I am so hacked off I feel like jacking it all in and saying they can stick their diet where the sun dont shine. Oh and DH has just got stroppy because I asked him if he was going to sit around in his dressing gown all day. DD's offer of helping around the house (because laptops been confiscated as she lied to me and tried to get her friend to lie to me as well) wast worth the efoort she put in as I asked her to fold the clothes out of the TD. She did but laid them over the worksurfaces in the litchen that hadnt been wiped !! I guess shes hoping I wont ask her to do anything else - WRONG!
    *** RANT OVER *** - Did a pigpen !!

Sorry ladies, back on planet earth I will now go and put the shopping away, get DD to clean her pigsty and see what else I can do without shouting at anyone (thinks shopping embb style maybe)

There was a programme on here during the week and Liz McColgan was having difficulty getting her kids to tidy up, they said just tell them that the floor must be clear each day and the bed made so I tried this on DS and it's worked... only a few days in so far but maybe "tidy up" was too vague for him:rotfl:This means his room will be much easier this weekend.
Lol we used to get told that when we were kids, it just all got shoved under the bed or in the bottom of the wardrobe :rotfl:

Massive hugs for cyclingyorkies DD and a warm welcome to shoestring with apologies for the rant. Hope the girls learn their lesson pigpen

I'm away again to give you all some peace.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Today however I have a hangover to work off - quiz night in the school dining hall which was bring your own so everyone did so you can imagine the mixture of drinks!!

Will start in the kitchen and work through each room one at a time, girls can do their own rooms, OH can do the grass seeing as its dry today.

Have been out to see my DB, give him is birthday present (it was last week), watch my nephew's swimming lesson, then went to the farm shop for veg on the way back. Have cleaned 1.5 of the five shelves in the study and am now waiting for them to dry (there isn't room to take everything off at once). Have also checked the fridge and wiped down some sticky bits, and moved a few bit from the outside freezer to the inside one. I am away for work for at least part of each of the next four weeks, and then have two weeks holiday. I need to meal plan to use the contents of the freezer as much as possible in the next four weeks so at least one can be defrosted on a day when I am here. Then I can take everything that I have left on holiday with me and start again when I get back:) I want to try to eat a lot of stuff out of the cupboards too... Which may mean eating couscous and lentils a lot!

Need to get some fruit and fruit juice as I appear to have none of either. As the weather is vile I'm going to drive to the village shop... But that's still better than going to the supermarket :o

Plan for today is then to finish cleaning the shelves interspersed with doing some of the work I'm behind on, and possibly clear the kitchen table. Tomorrow will be hoovering, floor washing and anything else I have time for.

    Afternoon all

    Rain, rain and more rain.

Only basic flying done. Been out researching and buying street party stuff.

Bit of financial stuff done with DH. Frog rehomed back to the garden.

Going to see if DH fancies moving some furniture around now.
