Do I need to register new Orange Sims?

Got some free orange sims in the post I was going to use in my old phone for my new business mobile number.

Don't need to use any credit on them, will they just pop in and a number is active and be useable or do I have to register them with my address etc with someone on the phone?

Will they insist on some sort of top up before I can use the number?

Thanks

I think you have to register them to get a number but you don't have to top-up.

You never need to add any credit if you don't want to. An Orange SIM will remain active as long as it receives a call every six months.
