Its practically the same station in all but name. Both have been renovated to an amazing standard and well worth a look, especially at the ceiling.

    It's basically the same station.
I'd be surprised if the car parks aren't shared.

It is, the carpark for Kings Cross and for St Pancras is behind St. Pancras station on Pancras Road, which runs between the two.

Don't see where anyone was suggesting any such thing though

You're right, nobody did, because everybody said walking is the sensible thing to do, but as the OP asked the question I thought I would consider alternatives, with cab being the only one that might be suitable should there be a need.

Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations are side by side either side of Pancras Road, you only have to cross a road which is why nobody suggested a cab.
  • Its not practically the same station at all. Both are separate and with the new concourse at KGX being built there are now differeing flows as to where you will exit depending on which platform you will come in on and at one time.

The shortest route will be if you exit from KGX suburban platforms as you just turn left then cross over. If you exit from the main station then you will come out the front and it will take a little longer as you have to either walk down the road or walk through the St Pancras itself - which is worth doing.
