Well I dont use mine to mop up doggy pee like the woman did in the programme I just watched on Catch Up TV - The Syndicate. Now that was very enlightening!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I've always wondered why they're called Tea Towels. :think:TL0

Ours largely dry our hands. They very rarely get used to dry the dishes - I prefer to let them air dry.
I have a separate pile of terry nappies and old handtowels that have gone grey that are used to mop up drink spills, wee, mud etc.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

I use mine to get stuff out the oven, and to dry the worktops when I have washed them down.
I only dry dishes etc with a CLEAN one if I need something right away and it is still wet.
I have about 17 tea towels and they all get cleaned regularly, I can't stand when you see someone wiping their hands and sometimes face on one that they use to dry dishes with _pale_0 -
Mine are washed with a little bleach, and when freshly washed I use them to cover cooling food, wrap bread etc. and most of the jobs you'd use kitchen paper for. My dishes air dry but if I need something that's just been washed I use a fresh tea towel to dry it.
For germy spills and thrills, I use old towels torn up into small cloths, then bleach the burggery out of them in the washing machine.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Which is why I bagsied my granny's dinky little kitchen hand-towels when we were sorting my mother's things after she died. My sisters didn't have any use for them. I wonder what they use to dry their hands on?
I like having kitchen textiles like oven-gloves, tea and hand-towels, dish and floor-cloths which can all be laundered so I have no use for rolls of kitchen-paper and J-clothy-type things which I've never bought.0
