Aldi or Lidl periodically have twin barrel footpumps for between £3-£5.

I was going to recommend the Michelin one that I have but the rubber hose snapped and you can't buy spares unlike for the cheaper varieties.

hi..................the brass-barrel pumps are perhaps the best quality.

In the past, I have spent 30 quid or more on a high-capacity electric pump [running straight off the battery]....and suitable for larger vehicle tyres..... prolonged use has seen the pump itself become less efficient.

For similar money I have also bought a proper mains-operated electric compressor from Aldi.[came with a load of tools too, including a windy gun!].....and a modest tyre inflater...with not-so-accurate gauge.

This I currently keep in the kitchen [its quite bulky, but is on wheels...it has a 25 litre tank!]......as it also has a very long [plastic] air hose, this I can run out of the front door to inflate tyres by the roadside......very quickly indeed.

No piddling around for ten minutes putting another 10 psi into a tyre....it's quicker than some garage items!

One of my pressure gauges is an old long brass fitting for a tyre inflater, [lorry-type, with an end facing both ways] but with an old gas gauge [oxygen...but it matters not] screwed on the end....pressure reads up to 30psi but the needle goes further...

    I am also a titewad...
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
