Have you sent a written complaint to complaints@santander.co.uk? If not, I would do that if I were you, listing clearly what it is you required, and what went wrong. Also, ask them to respond in writing to you.
That way, you will have a detailed record of your complaint. If they haven't sorted it to your satisfaction within 6 weeks, you can then take your complaint, and case for compensation, to the FOS.0 -
Thanks, I'm just in the process of doing that. The only reason I've let it go this long is that every time I've spoken to them they've appeared to understand the problem and promised they'll have it sorted in a couple of days. Ha!0

Feeling much better now. I've compiled a history of what's happened so far, plus a request for a written response, plus a list of what I expect and don't expect. The thing I don't expect is to have to chase this any more. I've insisted that they contact me in future to report progress. Vain hope?
Just for good measure I've sent a copy of the letter to the Santander CEO. I'll now await developments.0
