Hi.
Depends what it is you're wanting to undo?
Something simple like a door hinge would need a small one. Undoing an engine mount would need a more heavy duty one...0 -

Thanks Harveybobbles
That was a very quick response!
I think it is for wheel nuts, does that sound feasible? We have a mini coach and husband wants it because it is part of the walk round check you need to do.
He isn't here at the moment - I just thought I would surprise him by getting it sorted!!!

A cheapie like that will be fine for wheel nuts and odd jobs, no need to spend lots.
They also sell them in Argos
But you use them for doing things up, never undoing something, it damages them0 -
Thanks Pendulum.
Will this one do the job for our vehicle? Sorry to sound so vague!!!!0 -
check the van book but google comes up with......
Steel wheel – 177 lbf.ft 240 N.m
alloy wheel – 138 lbf.ft 177 N.m
so (assuming it's correct) you need one that covers that range. The Amazon one above will do alloys but you'll need the next size up if his van has steel wheels0 -
Thanks vaio
It is steel wheels.

Do you have a link for that, mines not a merc, but nowhere near that figure though.0 -
Check in the manual at the back in the section where it gives specifications on tyre sizes it should say what the torque is somewhere. Then you buy a torque wrench which has that figure within it's range. Oh and tell him he has to unwind it every time he uses it (set it to zero) he can't leave it wound up just because he uses it every day or every week at that setting. If he does not return it to zero it will cause it to be inaccurate over time.
if 240 Nm
You could go for this one to 300

Which has a good review
