I'm not sure but is it worth it? Most come with a 3 year warranty.

Do you mean against breakdowns after the warranty has expired?

I've investigated this myself with no joy so far...

Certainly Mitsubishi offer nout but hopefully that will change in the near future...

Also spoke to many of the big aircon companies, being similar tech, but no joy there either...

    Cheers

Peat, If you are inquiring about insurance against being stolen, I would have thought most insurance companies would treat it as part of the buildings heating system, and like satellite dish / solar PV etc, hence, buildings insurance should cover it, if it is extended warranty you are after, then speak to your MCS installer, we do.

It's a Danfoss system, Danfoss apparently only offer two year warranty, fifteen months has now passed. The installer has since gone bust.

If the installation has been carried out correctly, then Danfoss should be able to get another accredited installer to repair the unit within the 2 year period under the terms of their guarantee. The compressor unit is the heart of the system, so hope that has longer cover.
Our GSHP here has 5 yrs full cover with 10 yrs compressor, but is not a Danfoss.

It is not broken at the moment, I have had a repair done which was done under warranty but I'm just concerned for the future.
