Id have thought that the Powerful Long Range Transmitter & Receiver, 800 Metres (10- 15Km With Directional Antenna) would do the job, even with houses in the way, but its expensive.
Ive just done a search for "Long Range AV Transmitter", and there are a few possibilities."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -

Ahh so what you need is a periscope.

And how much power does this thing take? I recken it would drain a 12v battery pretty damn quick!
What you would need is a trip sensor (beam breaker, dual tech PIR etc) with a very low power requirement, which when tripped would activate the rest of the cctv system. This would at least conserve what little power you have available.
You would then need a method of notification in the house, to activate video / monitor or maybe a small portable vcr system in stables and audio alarm in the house...
I think you need to talk to a security expert and see if there are any realistic options available!0 -

I dont know, it doesnt say, but the other one is rated at 800mA, so a 95Ah car battery would last about 4 days I believe. Personally, Id link two together, and change them once a week, but it does start to become expensive."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -
What about paying a trusted house occupant in the housing estate to run the system nearer to the buildings?0

And is illegal in the EU. In the EU you’re limited to 100mW output. You can’t even take that 100mW and use a highly-directional antenna to put all the power into a tightly-focused beam. That sort of kit is designed for the USA – a country with wide-open spaces and laws to match. You could use a 5000mW transmitter to take out all the wireless networks of a short British street.Zagu wrote:Id have thought that the Powerful Long Range Transmitter & Receiver, 800 Metres (10- 15Km With Directional Antenna) would do the job, even with houses in the way, but its expensive.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -

I did wonder about that, but guessed that as its from a UK based company, and there was no mention as to the legitimacy of it, I presumed that it would be permitted under the new relaxation in the law. I guess not though!"I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -
Why not get a quote to run power to the stables and while thats being done you can lay the camera cable in the same trench. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

If you are still stuck just give me a shout and I'll ask hubbie, he does CCTV for a living, mainly town centre systems etc.
