Small scratch on the bezel of new TV - return or not?

I've bought a Samsung 37 inch telly, new, and it's got a very small 1cm scratch on the bezel, just above the top of the screen. It's visible mostly when there's sunlight through the window and while it's not hugely obvious, it kind of bugs me a bit that it's there.
Granted, I could take it back but there's no guarantee there wouldn't be another scratch somewhere given that, looking through other threads on the internet., the piano black Samsung bezels seem to be scratch magnets. I actually like the TV apart fro this, but I bought this new and I balk a bit at it being less than 100% perfect.
Anyone been in a similar situation? Should I keep it or take it back? On the other hand, it's quite a decent spec for the money and the picture quality's good.

If you bought it from a shop I'd take it back. If you bought it online I wouldn't bother.0

The bezel should have been covered by a plastic film when you received it to protect the bezel, was it?:That gum you like is coming back in style.0

A black felt tip pen may solve your problem0

How long ago did you buy it and how are you proposing to prove to the retailer that you didn’t scratch it yourself?
You mean how is the retailer going to prove the customer did it.
If it bothers you take it back, I certainly would, as mentioned above it should have protected film, I would be more worried about why it was scratched then the actuall scratch as it sounds like a graded return.0 -
No, K_B, I mean what I wrote (which is why I wrote it :wall: ). If push comes to shove, how does the OP intend to prove to the retailer that it was not the OP who scratched it him/herself?
The OP doesn't need to prove anything.

First 6 months the retailer must prove the customer was at fault after that it is down the the customer to prove the item/retailer was at fault.0 -
its not a faulty product, its a damaged oneDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Like you said, piano black scratches like the devil. In your shoes, I'd keep the telly and negotiate a partial refund. Surprisingly easy to do with damaged goods - if you return to the store what are they going to do with it? Sell it as new to another customer, likely to be rejected again. Sell it as damaged, they'll have to discount.0

Are you serious?
