When i was younger my mum used to actually boil barley, then make me drink the liquid!!! Yuk!!!. Doc has put me on antibiotics (grudgingly). So now im taking cranberry pills, sodium bicarbonate pills, plus all my other pills.
Doing a lot of self help too ie; double voiding (the gals out there will get it lol), Drinking water constantly, reduced the caffine i drink, no bubble bath (gutted), cotton undies etc.
Years ago i had my bladder wall cauterised. that may be an option. Will see what my urologist says x Thanks for the support though, feels better talking about it x
The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!

The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea

You may be able to use femfresh as bubblebath? My Dr suggested this when I had recurring thrush & it was fine for washing directly & "bubbling up" in a warm bath.
On offer at Boots too at the moment:

It can help to make your urine more alkaline. You can find lists of things that do this on the internet. It isn't a matter of what's acid or alkali when you eat/drink it, but what effect it has on the urine following the chemical reactions in the body. So, for example, orange juice, which is acidic, produces alkaline urine.

When I was a child, we asked the chemist for mist. pot. cit. aka potassium citrate mixture and you can still buy it under a variety of brand names such as Cystopurin, but your chemist may be able to supply it quite cheaply if you're not fussed about the brand name or the fancy packet.
