I transferred from halifax to Santander and that took around 5 working days too, so i suppose things are improving.0 -

Mine was only an internal transfer between Halifax accounts but where as last year took about 3 weeks  to transfer - I even went into the branch to chase them up, this year I filled in the transfer details and the new interest rate was showing on my online banking in less than two days.0

Sadly I transferred from Halifax to Santander, I received confirmation from Halifax that transfer took place on 15 March, Santander have ONLY JUST confirmed, verballyt, they have the money and this is after me phoning them three times, and they've said they will back date interest to the 23 March. Crap customer service, and they asked me yesterday 'may we send you some flowers as way of compensation'................................. go figure. I'm so disappointed in their customer service I'm thinking of seeking an alternative provider and moving funds next week. Albeit I'll receive no interest (it won't be much at all).0

Must admit, I've had few problems with A&L / Santander over the years, but the CS is crap - they have a couldn't care less mentality. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0

Have you got at link please for the Halifax 3.7% ISA - sounds really good. Do they accept transfers in?0 -
