Sell it quickly? The fact that the Nokia Windows phones have bombed in the EU, the current understanding is that the early adopters will be burnt when the balloon bursts, and I already have 2 friends who have bailed out and are glad they did.

Son and oh have both bought this phone. It took a bit of getting used to coming from an android phone, but they think it's a really good phone

My sister has changed to this from an Android as its easier to use. It does everything she wants it to do and is easy to get to grips with.

Try looking at the Windows Phone Marketplace on a PC to view all the apps available as I find it easier to navigate than their mobile site.

Ignore some of the less helpful comments. There are a lot of happy Windows Phone users out there. I've had a Lumia since launch and love it. The best way to get to grips with your phone is to pin all most commonly used apps to start. To do this you just hold you finger down on the app ( in the right hand side menu) and press pin to start. Sending an SMS is the same as any other smartphone and as this is your first it may take a couple of weeks to get the hang of it. Is there anything in particular you'd like to know how to do?

To send a multimedia message go to send a normal text. When typing there is a paperclip icon at the bottom. That lets you attach a picture. That can cost depending on your provider. I use Whatsapp which is free on windows phone if you search it. You can send videos sounds and pictures using that too.

In terms of videos just goto your main menu and select music and videos and all your videos are there. I also use vimeo and daily motion for videos and have a Netflix account for movies.

A few other apps I would recommend are:

Windows Phone News: keeps you up to date with new quality apps available.
BBC News + Metro News apps for free news
Say No to 0870 is a good one to get a companies landline numbers instead of ringing an 08 number.
I use accuweather for my weather live tile and there are some free Xbox live games to get you used to some of the games available. If this is your first smartphone I'd recommend Angry Birds for 79 pence too :). If you need any more info feel free to ask.

I forgot to mention that you cannot resize the keypad as far as I am aware but there is a mic icon which allows you to say your message. Cool Tools is also an app I forgot to mention and most of the apps from Nokia have really high ratings too. To be honest there is around 80,000 apps now and it'll hit 100,000 in no time so you'll have a lot of time to browse through the library for new ones.
