What exactly does all the crap mean on the back of these tickets? What exactly does lawful issue mean with regards to the Justice Act 1970?
The other thing that's quite laughable is one of the check boxes on the ticket suggests that they might fine you for having no tax. Now they definitely have no right to do that!
None of it means anything at all, it is just gobbledegook to try to baffle, confuse, and intimidate. Now are you getting the message that they are full of sh*t?0 -
The Administration of Justice Act 1970 is a UK Act of Parliament. Section 40 includes a number of provisions forbidding creditors such as debt collection agencies from harassing debtors, including:
- Excessive demands for payment
- Falsely claiming that criminal proceedings will follow after failing to pay a debt
- Falsely pretending to be officially authorised to collect payment
- Producing false documents claiming to have some official status that they do not have
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Just a little follow up so that people facing the same situation know what works and what doesn't. I ignored all communications from them and didn't file an appeal as directed by everyone on here. They sent me a few letters telling my to pay up. They then sent me a few letters telling me they were going to take me to court if I didn't pay up (stating that any information I read on the internet was 'anecdotal' and that I should really pay them). Now I haven't hear back from them.
Thanks for your help and reassurance everyone
