Thanks, But our original contract states
Ending The Tenancy:
"While the tenancy is periodic the one months written notice must expire the day before a rent due date"
So surely that will be the end of the month (Paydate being the 1st)?
The rent due date should be written in your tenancy agreement. It may be the pay date indeed.
But as long as you are on a statutory periodic tenancy this is now completely irrelevant because this clause is now void by law.
Your notice should now expire on the 18th of the month because your tenancy period run from 19th to 18th as advised by others.* there is no legal difference between giving notice straight away or a day or two before the 18th - your Notice period will be the same
