I have the spreadsheet that was in the other thread. The way it seems to work is you put in you priority code and the known words. It then automatically logs on to the website and starts trying the 8th code. I assume its at least a few second between tries so with around 5,500 words it could take a while even with the effort split up. And from what the other thread said, the site won't be open until late Wednesday.

Of course Sun could make up a word not on the spreadsheet and then we will be !!!!!!ed.

As mentioned is anybody co-coordinating who is trying which letter. I don't mind taking one of the letters but I won't be around until 6:30 at the earliest though I have access to several PC at home to speed up the effort.

last time i booked one it opened in the afternoon the day before, i didnt try until about 5, so it varies , you just keep trying once you have your final code

Can I ask a question? I am only to go on one of the dates on offer as work in education so have to go school hols(the most popular august one!!!) I will be able to priority book, do I still need to put in a selection of dates and parks? I have various park choices, but if only the one date, can I keep putting in the same date with diff parks? How do I work the system to maximise my chance of getting this date? Is there a way to do it? Thanks

Not 100% sure but it seems to work with the 'top' listed date through the parks and then on to the next date thru them...I always put the date I prefer top and fill the other dates with very unlikely to be available ones - trickier with summer dates to know which is which though!

no has to be unique dates and parks i'm afraid! just a case of messing about with it ! which can be quite frustrating :eek::mad:

can you only do one date in Aug ? as there is more than one ... also June half term and end July available too ...

Monday-Friday (4 night breaks): June 4, 11, 18, 25 July 2, 9, 16 August 20, 27, September 3

Friday-Monday (3 night breaks): June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 July 6, 13, 20 August 24, 31, September 7

Oh..I didn't see the 27 aug!! Thanks for that :-) June is no good as my son has an operation booked and the July one we don't break up till 20th and I still need to be in school the Monday after, but can try the 27th aug too so thank you. Know I am asking for the world (!) but aiming for a 7 night break in Brittany!!

When people say you play around with the dates you are offered do you just say no to that selection and start again? Never had a priority ref before so not sure how the online system works.

I have not got a priority so used the link that someone posted to contact The Sun but still not had it so annoyed hope i get it before the booking goes live. I always book Sun holidays have booked loads in the past 2 years :eek:
