Setting up a Belkin F5D7632-4 as a modem only?

I'd like to set up a Belkin F5D7632-4 as a modem only to use with an Apple AirPort Extreme. I tried to do this once before many months ago but got nowhere fast and gave up. Then I remembered that I had an old TalkTalk modem kicking about that I could use.
I have now upgraded my AirPort Extreme to a 2TB Time Capsule and my sister wants to buy the AirPort off of me. She has the same Belkin I tried to set up as a modem only so I'm going to need some instructions on how to do this, if at all possible?
Thanks in advance.:j

try the user manual......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
looking at it, it should be pretty straightforward to do, plug in ethernet cable between router and airport and not much else....might want to turn off wifi on the belkin.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Pretty sure I tried that last time and the thing just didn't want to play ball. I'll have a go at it again tonight when nobody is using the internet.:beer:0 -

I did see it, didn't want to assume anything, no offence intended sorry. My youngest is being assessed for similar so understand how it can be at timesHappyChappy84 wrote: »Pretty sure I tried that last time and the thing just didn't want to play ball. Usually, it's a case of setting the DHCP server off on one device and on on the other. Without checking the airport manual, I suspect the DHCP would need to be off in the belkin and on in the airport. You'd also need to turn the wifi off on the belkin. It can get a bit fiddly sometimes...usually I find it easiest with both user manuals in front of you and working through the process (but understand it may be an issue for you).........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Thans for getting back to me.Good luck with your youngest and his assessment.
I'll bear that in mind but I'm not going to be able to try it tonight as my sis has lost the LAN cable that came with the Belkin.:(0 -
You need to turn off the router part of the modem/router or put the Airport in bridge mode.0

I spent hours trying to connect modem. In the end I rang my ISP support line. Within 2 minutes I was on line.I'm retiring at 55. You can but dream.0

How exactly do I do that because I'm pulling my hair out with this at the moment.
I've got the AirPort Extreme connected to the Belkin via LAN. On my MacBook I am connected to the internet using the AirPort and my sisters MacBook she can connect to the internet using the Belkin. Whenever I try to turn the Belkin 'off' so to speak I end up with nothing working.
Bridge mode is on on the AirPort.0 -
