Toyota Aygo

If you are after a new one then buy a VW UP instead. Second hand they are a good buy.0

I don't understand people that buy the C1/aygo/107 series of cars when the Hyundai i10 offers so much more for around the same money.
Maybe they just go into the first garage they see.0 -
Because 5 years ago there was no such thing as an i10.
I'd avoid the Up too due to the need to have expensive cambelt changes every few years. Aygo is chain cam, another plus which reduces ownership costs.0 -

It's cheap and cheerful, and rebadged as a Skoda, and a Seat.
It looks better as a Seat.

Not sure as a Skoda.
The Up looks the worst.0 -
Toyota has always performed well in customer surveys so for 5000 miles a year this car is as good as any other. Buying second hand is more about checking the service history, including checking the displayed mileage seems right compared to the records, making sure there is plenty of wear left in expensive renewables such as brake parts and tyres, checking the integrity of the exterior finish, checking MOT slips for advisories, checking any service advisories have been acted on, carrying out HPI checks and paying for an agency such as the AA to give the car the once over. If I were in your position I would buy a small reliable city car and then rent something designed for motorway mileage to do the Manchester runs thereby keeping your car sweeter.Life is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere0

was looking to get an Aygo - but then found a killer deal on a C1 (same car) for £6800. No contest.0

You can win on the roundabouts, but then lose on the swings.
If you intend using main dealers for servicing call a Toyota dealer first and get a quote, then call a Citroen dealer. Basic service on an Aygo £100ish, Citroen dealer £200+. Don't let Citroen do you over.0 -
3yr warranty - but we have balanced the risks . If we were that concerned we'd extend the warranty.0
