I am 45 and dont have a wrinkle yet. I can only put it down to using SPF on my face and exfoliation once a week. I wish it was as easy to get rid of the grey hair.:mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I can swear by this too. I never leave the house without spf 15 on, whether I'm wearing just moisturiser, or tinted moisturiser or foundation. I have always looked after my skin and not overdone it in the sun and at 41, people think I am 30. I have made sure my niece, who has just turned 15, is already in a routine of cleansing her face every night as she has typical teenage skin and she tells me the majority of her friends do nothing at all. Want her to get into a routine at an early age as there is a lot more pollution in the atmosphere now than when I was her age.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
If you're not using anti aging skin products and your skin care program is inconsistent and irregular, it's highly likely that you will soon notice tell-tale signs of aging in the form of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. The most certain fact is you are aging day after day and one day; you may realize that you look older than you actually are. Modern advancements in anti aging skin products mean it's never too late to start looking after your skin and taking steps to reverse visible signs of aging.0

Dont be dooped into buying a lot of very expensive "anti -ageing" creams alot of them are a waste of time and people think the more they spend the better the product.
you should follow 3 simple rules for healthy wrinkle free skin
- keep hydrated drink about 2 -4 litres of water per day
- moisturise regularly (use a good moisturiser) morning and night
Diprobase is quite a good one and great value in the 500gm pack
- protect yourself from the sun (use a good sun protection product)0 -
Soz forgot one more that might be useful to y'all
Take plenty of omega 3 in your diet it is scientifically proven to be very very good for your skin.
Tuna, salmon, mackerel, sardines and anchovies are a good source of omega 3 oils.
If you dont like any of these you can take omega 3 supplements.0 -
What about the not-smoking one, you forgot that too!!0

Hi Vanessa, I see from your home-page, you have an interest in this topic, but this is a really old thread you've brought up, we have had a few recent more threads on this very subject0 -
The day & night cream from Aldi, really nice to use, amazing price £1.99 & has come top of reviews against creams costing £80+!! Worth a go!
Also, dont smoke, dont drink, drink lots of water, exercise, eat lots of fruit & veg......sounds boring but it works!0 -
I agree it is the basics that are important - keeping out of the sun, not smoking, cleanse and moisturise. I read somewhere that, for every night you leave your make-up on, you age 8 days..not sure if there's any truth in that, but I've never forgotten in. I would think at your age, you don't need any more than that. I've never smoked, and I keep out of the sun (since I got awful sunstroke at age 18.) Now I'm 42, I can really see the benefits of that.0
