    Another NSD.
We had rice and peas with lamb kebabs/mint sauce & salad - celery, onion, radishes, red cabbage for dinner.

:TAnother one for our team! I always make them try anything they haven't had before (Try anything once, twice if you like it!) - DS fussiest friend now eats what I give him with no fuss. I am however, sworn to secrecy and forbidden from telling his mother - Is this because this sensitive young man is conscious of his mother's feelings? :rotfl:No - it is so he can carry on living on treats ans sweets in his main residence. :eek:Also, no pudding if you don't eat your dinner. :eek:Obviously you are too full up!!

    Love it
    SL

Lol- Did something similar at a birthday party yesterday - DS2 (just turned 4) wouldn't sit down and play pass the parcel, but then moaned when the other kids all had a packet of sweets each found between the layers. "I want a packet" moans my little 'un - "you didn't play the game" says I Whole room of mums calling me a meanie and trying to give him a packet but stuck to my guns!- Did he then sit down and join in though? Oh yes!:)

    Good morning,

it is lovely and sunny again today :j Had a couple of small spends on sweets and treats but so much less than normal so i am pleased (DH didn't find the beer i had hidden from last week either so didn't need to buy anymore!)

Today we are off to a car boot at the kids school this morning and then we are going to (finally) get two more chickens. So excited! Then we will spend the rest of the day in the garden making sure the two new chickens are not being bullied by the other two!

    Have a lovely day

A lovely sunny morning here too :j

I left my meat and potato pie filling in the thermal cooker for about 15 hrs yesterday. (the thermal cooker uses no heat so food cannot overcook)
It is to die for. The meat is meltingly soft. It will make fabulous pies later on for our guests.

With doing a weekly GC, I think I will update signature each week with a new one that just reflects that weeks spends otherwise my signature will get long very quickly.

Got to get some rhubarb from the garden later got a crumble for pud.

    Enjoy a beautiful day, peeps:)

Morning all, lovely sunny day here also, wm is on with last load, so i can put that on the line later. Planning a small spend today, might go to farm shop or aldi, my sister wants to go to aldi but wants someone with her??? I have taken beef slices from last roast out of the freezer so we will have that for lunch later. Also need to start soup for tea, i will put that in the slow cooker, might make some of jj's herby bread to serve with it. Will also make apple & rhubarb crumble, cookies & brownies to make full use of the big oven going on. Enjoy your day all, the rest of mine will be spent in the garden.

    Morning all!

The sun is shining, it's a gorgeous day, and I got bitten so badly in the garden yesterday that both ankles are twice the size and blistering! Grrr! I'll be sat indoors in the shade with my feet up today. Need to find the insect repellent - I have the same problem every May, and always get bitten before I remember!

Need to report a £10.10 spend yesterday - on two coffees and two pieces of carrot cake!:eek::eek: My only excuse is that it was the May Fayre, so supporting the town and local business.
We very rarely spend in coffee shops now, and it was a local independent one, so at least I'm not supporting C*sta ... but really, £5.05 for a coffee and a cake???

Made a sc chicken curry for dinner yesterday, so will probably have that again today. If not, we have some very old lamb burgers in the freezer which need using up, so might have those instead with salad, and freeze the curry.

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you are doing!
    CBx :)

I made a VERY rare visit to M&S last week and their own CC were reduced from £2.99 to 99p for 20 :D

I LOVE the Dr Beckman cloth you can use 30 times but no where here stocks it anymore :(

Hello, I hope it's OK for me to join in. I have vaguely followed other monthly challenges from afar, but the time has come to get serious. We're already half way through May but I'm preparing myself for the June challenge. We have freezers, pantry and garage full of food so I'm aiming for a good few NSDs too. Need to clear some space and save some money at the same time.

I hung the washing out on a glorious sunny day without a cloud in the sky! An hour later and there are great big grey clouds looming

I am hoping today is a NSD and no plans to go out......Spanish GP on tv lunchtime, so that will keep me amused for a few hours.

1st thing this morning I baked cherry and blueberry muffins - just had one for breakfast, delicious!! It was a new recipe where you make the batter the day before, so perfect if you want muffins for breakfast but dont want all the faff 1st thing.

Lunch will be LO ham, LO cold curried rice and LO Jerseys Royals which were lovely hot with butter yesterday and will become potato salad today.

I have a chicken and veg curry in the SC and planning on that for tea......

But yesterday I had lamb tagine cooking in the SC all day and when I got to teatime, I just didnt fancy it! :rotfl:I ended up feezing 3 portions :o

So I MAY have the curry for tea or it might get relegated to the freezer.

I MUST stop cooking and eat more out of the freezer, I have a DR meat order due next Monday and no room to store it ;)
