    Hi guys:wave:

May I be put down for £30 a week?
My week will always begin on a Saturday and end on a Friday!

This means I can start afresh tomorrow;)

A bit naughty I know but I want a fresh start. I will declare April's total spend this evening as I need a few more things from sainsburys.

    Onwards and upwards, peeps :T

Updating my total and doing really well with a ridiculous £19 spent last week. It is amazing what you have in the house when you really look. Hope everyone has a good weekend and well done pennygrabber!

Carmilla - We are all here to support each other and pick up some great tips along the way, you'll enjoy it :T

Glad I'm not the only lapsee!

Could I ask you all about Stardrops? I've never bought it before but keep reading about how good it is. If I buy a concentrated bottle can I put a small amount in a spray bottle and water it down? How much can I water it down?

Also someone on another thread mentioned using vinegar as a dishwasher cleaner. But I'm not sure if I just tip the bottle in the machine and put it on hot, or doI need to do something else? :o

    Thanks for your replies.

My challenge starts tomorrow, pay day (and my birthday )

    Hi Pixie,
On the DIY pages there are lots of uses for Stardrops. I put Stardrops into where the little down arrow search is and it came up with lots of threads, and when you go through them it highlights Stardrops in red for you to see easily.

Hope this helps. :) Hope you had a good birthday. :)

I'm sure there is a Stardrops page of its own but I'm not sure where..... anyone out there know?

Well, I managed to put April even further into the red last night but May's budget should be much more achievable now. Roped my mum into catering an event for me on Saturday night so we used her costco card to buy the bits and pieces that we neeed. Ended up coming home with 8 pork steaks, 12 chicken thighs, 2kg of apples and 10kg of onions for my own stocks too. Coupled with April's Donald Russell bargain stock up on pot roasts, I should have most of the meat I need for May in the freezer already.

There is a bit of fat in my other April budgets to balance out the grocery overspend but hopefully I'll come in under for May to keep some of the balance in the annual grocery pot!

Time to join back in, as clearly going it alone costs more. April wis over £225, and we were away for a week, so no grocery spend there!

For May I need to get focussed again, and sign up for £120/ month for the two of us. The silver lining of the huge April spend is that i have a re-stocked pantry and freezer :)

First spend of the month today of £42.73 in Leedle. It's the first time I've ever done a serious shop in there and I only went to have a look but came out with most of my list! Very impressed. Even though I've put £350 as the budget fr this month I'm really aiming for nearer £200 for me, DH and DS plus some possible random guests. I've looked at the stocks and think I can do it so wish me luck!
