Breakie was 1/2 a hot cross bun.
No idea about lunch yet.
Tea will be a HM lasagne I made and froze last week, packed with loads of veggies as well as meat
A happy side effect of joining the GC is that I have lost 5lbs since the beginning of April :T
Everytime I want to pig out, I think of Florenceem's portion sizes and hear her voice (not that I know what it sounds
like) saying "you don't NEED a whole muffin"......priceless words!! Thank you Flo! :A
:rotfl::rotfl: My DGC know that I have slimmed Mr F down - so they say to him - you are on a diet! ( He is not on a diet - it is a change of lifestyle. ) I was away one time - Mr F was looking after DGS aged 7. Mr F took him into town and bought chocolate cake - DGS said - are you allowed? Mr F says my voice is always there - YOU DON'T NEED THAT!!!!!! :rotfl:Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I'm sitting here procrastinating - its raining out there and I need to pop into the village for some fruit and veg. I don't drive and I don't much fancy getting soaked.fozziebeartoo wrote: »Today is planned as a NSD!

Fozziebeartoo - Enjoy your lovely newly decorated room. What colour have you gone for - if thats not too noisy - but please be careful putting those curtains up. After too many mishaps DH has now banned me from climbing on chairs and ladders to put things up or get things from the back of cupboards. And I'd hate to hear that you've injured yourself.
Craig - What about grown up cordial?I have a recipe for fruit vodka. I've only made it with blackberries at the moment but I fully intend to go through all the summer fruits as they come into season. I'll post the recipe if you're interested.
Wishing everyone a lovely afternoon.0 -
Just a quick reply will skim/read though pages to catch up tonight. Spent £19.80 yesterday, ok a lot of the stuff I didn't really need (sweeties for the kids but they don't eat them much and they only get them after meal times) found the shr*ddies and whe*tabix but shops own make and stocked up on 2 boxes each 80p for the shr*ddies and £1 for 12pk of weatabix got other bits to go with things I already had at home to make other meals and packet lunch stuff. So pointless stuff but not at the same time.
Right think I'll read though some of these posts now.Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -

Thank you for the kind thoughts!
I have gone for basic white paintwork and magnolia walls, so I can re-use my Laura Ashley curtains.....I have huge bay windows and needed 2 pairs to cover the window and definitely didnt want to repeat THAT expense :rotfl:
I survived the net hangingbut need to get some more hooky things before I can re-hang the proper curtains (will try Wilkos tomorrow) but might wait until someone is visiting before I climb up again, so there is someone to pick me up if I fall

Damn it!!! I forgot we still have half a sausage shape of fifteens left in the fridge!! I had a cereal bar last night as a sweet treat, wish I'd remembered about the fifteens!!
Guess what I'm eating as soon as I get in from work tonight :rotfl:
Really need to meal plan better for myself, was really hungry last night and DH was going out. Dinner for just me seems to be really difficult. Ended up having veggie fingers and baked beans. Not great, but it filled a hole I suppose. Shouldn't complain, I was honestly >this< far away from phoning a takeaway for myselfand managed to control myself!!
Wow - how can you forget you have a stash of that????
Well done on not getting a takeaway. If I am just eating myself I don't plan anything for ir, just say I will have whatever leftovers or toast or whatever kicking about. I always regret it and wish I had something good to eat
I have a huge pan of lentil soup on to cook now. Should keep us going for a good few days. I had intended to make bread to go with it but that will have to wait til tomorrow now.

Dinner looks loooevvely! I've never been able to make a good Yorkshire!. They always end up too dry and crispy so I never bother anymore!
I too was like you Nick, but not no more:rotfl:
A foolproof yorkshire pudding mix is about volume and not quantity. So you get the same size cup and fill up to same level near the top with 1 cup of plain flour, 1 cup of eggs and one cup of milk (or half milk and half water). Guaranteed to you will get risen yorkshire puds.
It's does need a lot of eggs (my cup took 8 eggs:eek::eek:) but made toad in the hole and I was dancing around the kitchen when I looked into the oven and could see lovely risen yorkshires :j:jWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

......... I know Florenceem, but at least I had an edible meal instead of throwing it all in the bin as the yp was flat, oily and rubbish, so for me 8 eggs is a cheaper option:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What does TITH mean please?:oWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:
