After thinking about increasing my budget to cope with needing much more than normal due to moving, Rather than fail and blow my budget, go mad and get everything i think i want. I'm going to try to keep to the £250, but set aside £100 for bulk buying bargains from Costieco and ApprovedFds to make my cupboards look less bare (I am a horder). Small spend today at my new corner shop, £7.37 a few bargains and some very expensive crisps. I'm going to add it to Mays budget as moving makes me want to have a fresh start.
Thanks for all the good ideas!:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

It's dead easy to do. I boiled the kettle and did one stock cube into boiled water, in one saucepan to keep it warm. Then, in the other pan, I fried of some chicken (really small pieces, one breast was enough for the three of us!) and onion. Then added the rice for a minute, and a few herbs (forgot them the second time, still nice). Then, add the stock a ladle at a time, until the rice is done, adding a load of peas/sweetcorn partway through. Takes about 20 mins start to finish, and it's now one of my quick weekday meals. HTH
Oooh that's fab thank you, will let you know how it goes
I'm loving the 'try something new' thing, I'm not very brave at trying different food's, but because the children are doing it, I feel like I should too(DH will eat anything as long as it doesn't contain celery, so he's easy to feed
) I'm the fussy one of the house
Hopefully a NSD today :j0 -
