RM will not give you anything. I sent 3 recorded letters to CPW. None of them got signed. They didn't get received by CPW so I had to send another recorded and sent one 1st class just in case. I had to wait 14 days before I could claim compensation. I tried to claim from RM but got no where. They sent me a form which i completed. Then they said they sent a form to CPW to fill in to confirm they had not received my recorded letters. Obviously no one at CPW is going to have the time to fill these in. They then sent me a letter telling me no one at CPW completed the form and I have 5 days to get a completed form from CPW otherwise my claim will be cancelled. Obviously there was no way I could get the form to CPW and back to royal mail within 5 days. RM are a load of cheating B*****DS. They are happy to take your money but not to happy to give it you back when they can't be bothered to provide the service we have paid for.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I'll have more luck than you Saeed. I will indeed make a copy of the reciept before I hand it over to Royal Mail. The seller I was trying to return the item to is very professional and will probably fill in forms saying that the parcel I sent her was not received.
