Specialised TV, Game, Book etc. shops are all going out of business because they can't afford to compete with the big supermarket prices.

However the staff in supermarkets are nowhere near as knowledgeable about their products, which is why you get situations like this. With either no shop assistants or ones that know nothin.

You buy a TV from Tesco because its cheap, if you want to buy a TV from a shop where the staff knows what they are talking about then you should visit a different store.

In the next 10 years pretty much everything you want to buy will be bought from a supermarket. However you will have to do your own research into what you buy!

Absolutely! Tesco often do great prices on new games but have no idea which ones are going to be in high demand. So you go in to ask for it and they're still in the back. Muppets.

Id rather spendmy money at john lewis orricher sounds, tesco dont deserve my money.

Was going to suggest richer sounds or hughes as well but I don't know how far afield they deliver or if OP has one nearby, but they are certainly worth checking out just in case.

Well I have done a complaint to Tesco so will see... I went there as I was down with aged parents for a couple of days and they wanted a TV on the bedroom wall. No TV shops near Southpool so was told to go to this Tesco Extra where their friends had bought a TV.

I disagree, in the next 10 years pretty much everything you want to buy will be bought on the internet. Maybe they will be delivered to a store for collection but your main research & buying will be done on-line.

As for Tesco, when they can work out the staff shift patterns so that more than 1 manned till is open in a medium-sized store at one of the peak times 5pm they might get my custom back.
