18185 & Mobiles?
Hi always used 18185 before changing line rental to Plusnet. So thought would try using our mobiles for ring Germany (1p p/min) & certain calls during the day before any free calls in the evening. I realise there's 2 numbers you can use 08081703703 & 02081802828, is the free number just for international calls only?
Also I realise once one of the above numbers is dialed wait for prompt then enter follow on number, making sure not to press the send button again, otherwise call my be carried by mobile operator. Also on the 18185 site it mentions 020 numbers may be charged depending on your operator, which I think as happened to me, hence wondering if the above free number is OK for all calls?
Also is there any different button to press to 'End' the call, just wondering about getting charged again for pressing the wrong button?
Appreciate any help
Thx

There are no any 'free' numbers to call from mobiles except, possibly, some special CS and emergency numbers.
020 is a landline number that is included in any cross-network allowance and you can use your 'inclusive' minutes to call this number. Otherwise you pay for a call to UK landline.
0808 is free only for calls from landlines and usually is not included in mobile allowances (there are some exceptions). Is it not free for Plusnet?0 -
OK Thank you........... so as well as the 18185 connection fee with the above numbers, you are also charged by mobile operatorjoe2cool0

Yes Plusnet a BT Company allow 18185 indirect access just like BT.
Calls via the indirect 18185 access number and the 0808/020 access numbers are charged differently.0 -
OK didn't think plusnet allowed 18185 even though a BT Company, but will try just hope I don't get charged twice? thxjoe2cool0

Well always used 18185 with BT land line before changing line to Plusnet, just thought using 18185 before numbers wouldn't work with 'Plusnet'? (since checked on Plusnet Forum & you are able to use 18185 & Plusnet doesn't block overriders)
Thxjoe2cool0
